Quality Decent, Paint Won't Stay In Pans
I have used a lot of metallic watercolors. With this type of watercolor, you have to let the paints soak in some water for a few moments and they work a lot better.HOW THESE COMEThese watercolors come all wrapped up so you have to open each one of the colors. They come in a tin which has a flip up hinged lid. There are magnets to put on the bottom of the pans to hold them to the case.COLORSThese are beautiful colors They have intense metallic appearance and there are many nuances to the colors which make them interesting to work with.COVERAGEIf I let a few drops of water sit on the trays of paint, they work as well as any of the metallics that I have worked with that are great. The coverage is pretty average. It is best to apply as top layers over other colors.PAINT PANSThe pans stay put beautifully, but the paints come out of the pans all of the time and that makes them chip. You have to put in some bubble wrap to make them stay in the pans and even that does not always help. That is the one thing that is hard about these paints.PERFORMANCEI would put these on a par with all of the other good quality metallic watercolors I have used. They are not the best, but they are certainly not anywhere near the worst.THE BOTTOM LINEThese watercolors have beautiful range of colors, perform decently, but the paint comes out of the pans too easily.MY RATINGFOUR STARS due to the paint coming out of all of the pans constantly I am taking a star off. I think another method of making a palette for the paints with a lid that fits closer to the pans might help with that. There is too much room in this container and the paints just won't stay in, even though they are sitting on a desk most of the time and only were moved a limited amount. Still I recommend them as the price is not bad for what you get. I just would try to find another way to keep them from popping out of the pans all of the time with a better case or some other method.

Nice shimmery colors
I was apprehensive to try these colors, as most of the reviews I have seen about this brand have not been too favorable. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised, as these are fairly comparable to other metallic watercolors I have tried. This set comes in a cute metal tin and contains ten individual full sized pans and magnetic tape to adhere to the bottom. There are various metallic shades of gold and copper tones. As with most metallic watercolors, these take a little bit of effort to activate, but once you do, they produce a nice shimmery layer. Some shades are a bit better than others in terms of laying on the paper smoothly and evenly. I find that these produce the best result if layered on top of a dry coat of regular watercolor, as this produces the most vibrant effect. There is not a lot of information about the pigments or ingredients used in these paints, and I can’t find much information about the company. Despite claiming to be handmade, their products seem to be fairly budget friendly. In spite of this, these are goody paints for beginners and hobbyists, and are a great way to get accustomed to metallic paints.

Love the shimmer
These are fun watercolors. I really appreciate the shimmer of these paints. They are not like other brands of shimmer paint I've had where the glitter is chunky and falls off the page when it dries. These are very finely milled and stay put. I don't know that I'd ever paint an entire picture in shimmer paint but it's a neat effect to add here and there to other paints. All of the CSY paints I've had are very well made and poured right to the top of the paint pans so you're getting a lot of product. The tin is cute and I like that they include adhesive magnets for you to stick to the bottom of the pans so they stay put in the tin once you've unwrapped them all.

Package could be better
This watercolor paint is fairly decent. I am not having to use a lot of water to get paint off the cakes, and they paint fairly well. It is definitely an interesting set with the mica. My only complaint is the tin they come with. I thought it would be nice at first, but upon opening the package, this was a hot mess, cakes sitting every which way in no organized fashion. They give you individually wrapped cakes with some magnets to attach them to the bottom. I am not a fan. I would much prefer a regular tin case and will probably not reuse this one once they are gone. It is small, so it would make a nice stocking stuffer for someone who loves to paint.

Cute Set
Nice selection of colors. Very shimmery. Just add a few drops of water. Packaged for gift giving. Each color is in its own individual plastic tub. Full to the top. The tubs are wrapped up like pieces of candy. The tubs all fit in a cute hand painted looking plastic container with a lift up top. There were sticky back magnetic strips in the container, not sure yet what those are for. Excellent for gifting to an artistic person.
