This company is running a scam. The device doesn't work- will not connect to WiFi or send or receive calls or texts. We have activated it, onboarded it, signed up for the Troomi monthly plan, and have followed all of their troubleshooting suggestions. None of them work, customer support is non responsive and their return policy is b.s. They will refund the device, but not the monthly plan or activation fee, because we already onboarded it.... OF COURSE we onboarded it, there literally would have been NO way to know if the device worked or not had we not. SUCH a B.S. scam. Very disappointed.

We have used Troomi going on 3 years now, and it is the best phone for kids, in my opinion.When my kids got old enough to ask for phones, and it became more painful for me because they didn't have one, I started looking around at the options, and I wasn't impressed. I didn't want a phone my kids could only talk and text on, because that wouldn't teach them how to actually use their phones appropriately. I ended up locking down an old iPhone to allow certain apps, but not others, and spent a frustrating year dealing with popups, ads, and other issues I didn't want my kids seeing. Thankfully, Troomi had launched by that point, and I jumped on board and haven't looked back. Troomi is exactly what I was looking for when I tried to DIY a kid's version of the iPhone.There are so many things I love about Troomi, but the thing that mostly sold me was the idea of letting my kids "level up" their phones after they proved they could handle it. My 13 year old can add contacts to her phone and call and text whoever she likes. My 11 year old has to have me add the number through the parent portal, and no one that isn't in her contacts list can contact her, or she them. My 13 year old has chrome on her phone, and my 11 year old doesn't have any internet access. I can change all of that with the click of a button in the parent portal, as well as download apps and view each and every text and picture message. Let me repeat that. I can view EVERY text and picture message sent or received, and get an email if anything flags for suspicious words or content, directly through my parent portal without needing to ask my kids for their phones.I love the option for downloading apps, and they come as part of the plan I pay for, so I don't have to pay for each individual one. All the apps have been vetted for content and safety, and there is always a blurb about things to watch out, for like subscription costs, etc., before I download the app. One less thing for me to keep up with.Troomi has been a lifesaver for me as a mom who wants to teach my kids how to use technology in a healthy way. The more responsibly my kids use their phones, the more features I turn on. It's a win-win for all of us.

SCAM!!!! I got the plan. The internet did not work, calling was glitchy and over all paid $39 for NOTHING !!!!!

We just upgraded to a new Troomi phone, and I couldn’t be happier with this product! What makes Troomi so special is its incredible ability to customize—it truly grows with your child.For my 10-year-old, we’ve set it up with no internet access. She can text and receive messages only from contacts I add, and she can only access apps I’ve approved. My 12-year-old uses the kid-safe browser and can add friends’ numbers, but I still get the final say if she’s going to keep texting them. My 14-year-old, on the other hand, has much more access to apps and features.The best part? I can easily adjust all these settings from my own phone at any time. If chores aren’t done, a quick tap turns off all their apps—talk about a powerful motivator!Another huge plus: I can see every text and picture sent or received from their phone, even if they delete it from their device. This gives me total peace of mind and keeps communication transparent.One thing to note: when adding apps, keep in mind that your child will have access to everything within that app, so take advantage of Troomi’s helpful app reviews.Another huge bonus: Troomi phones don’t scream “kid phone.” My teens hated other kid-safe phones because they looked so obvious. Troomi uses regular Samsung phones, so they blend right in while still keeping safety and control in my hands.If you’re looking for a smart phone that doesn’t feel like one and grows with your child, Troomi is hands down the best choice. Highly recommend!

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. Phone looked great. Loved the parental controls. But that lasted a whole 24 hours. This phone is useless without paying the activation fee. Can't even be used with wifi. Once activated it worked for about a day. Now I can't access the settings, connect it to wifi, and she can not call even my number (mom, also emergency contact) nothing on here is working anymore. I've tried contacting the company to resolve the problems and haven't heard anything back. Save your money and go to a phone dealership. They have apps that work almost the same that you can download. The frustration this thing has caused is ridiculous.

I love that all of the parental programming is already done in the phone, making it very safe for our young kids to have and utilize. I don't like that the phone cannot add internet services to it, and so there must be wifi available in order for it to be activated and utilized. It will not function without wifi.

Just don't waste your moneyGo get a moto g play instead this phones USELESS again it's USELESS, you pay more for the activation fee then the phone and I requested a refund since March 10/2025 until now march 31st I've not received anything but the other orders I refunded I've already got my refund. Trust don't buy this phone you will regret it
