Purple Panda Customer Service is very attentive. The product arrived in very quick time and was packaged well and very securely.The actual product is well built and easy to set up. I bought it to connect to a PS4 for communication and Video Making. Although I have connected it and use it, I haven't had time to play with different settings and connections to extract the best quality from this MIC, but it is easy to connect and use straight out of the packaging.I will add a further review once I can find time to adjust and record with it.Thank you PP for your kind emails to offer help and gather an opinion on your Product.Update: Adding to my previous positive, this is a superb product for the price!This works great from my PS4 controller for chat. Settings for which, will be personal preference. Once my Console has recognised the MIC all I have to do is go to settings/devices/audio devices/adjust microphone level and I move the slider in the middle setting. That's seems to work best for in game chat. For Party chat I have to reduce the level.PC Connection took a little working out. When I finally discovered that a 35mm Jack comes in two types, four pin and three pin.The Panda has a four pin connector. Most PCs do not like four pins. I connected the panda to a jack adapter with a four pin connection on the Female end for the Panda to plug in. The other end is a three pin and plugs straight into the pink input port on the sound card. And Voila! It finally worked.I will further update as I begin to use it with the PC.The sound quality is excellent indoors with little background noise. I clip the Panda to my chest level with Nips, but to one side or other for best and clearest transmission.Very highly recommended 👍🏾

I bought this microphone to give recordings on my phone (1+3t) a clearer audio input than you would achieve using the phone microphone, especially when recording video at arms length or further away on a tripod.As a result I can only attest to the build quality and finish of the product as received and whether or not the microphone was able to achieve this objective, not on its uses with other cameras/devices.I have not been able to give it a thorough test yet, but preliminary results have been been very good. There was a definite improvement over the phone microphone which is of course one of the main reasons to get an external mic, and not having to yell to achieve an audible recording is great!The presentation of the mic and the volume of additional cables and connecters that come with it push it from being a 4 star to 5 for me. Although in my case the mic was plug and play, there is nothing more frustrating than getting something new, gearing up to plug it in and finding you're missing the adapter, so brownie points for that!As for the mic itself, it's fairly small, the clip seems sturdy and I had no trouble attaching it to my t-shirt during the test recording. I've not needed the wind cover yet but I'm amazed there was one in the bag!My only real concern was actually my own fault, so I'm mentioning it to save others and the seller from grief. On first use there was a highly repetitive beat noise in the background of all the new mic recordings. My first thought was the mic was defective, but I tested it on a Samsung S8 and it was fine. So I did some digging and it turns out that if you're recording from a mobile (or maybe just my 1+) NFC can interfere with the recording if you have it switched on, so turn it off in the settings menu first!So right now I'm happy with the mic, I feel it will do what I need it to and frankly for the price I expected less in the bag and all of it to be less well finished!

Yes! I was looking for something like this for ages. The built in mics of cameras such as the gopro & Drift Ghost are OK but not great. Most external mics will give a great improvement in wind noise reduction & background noise cancellation. The Purple Panda does as good a job as any I've used (incuding Drift's own branded external mic), does NOT require an inline AAA battery (which simplifies things) & comes at a very reasonable price. I tried something called a Blixxo (also on Amazon) which was marketed to work with Gopro & didn't work at all for me! Purple Panda is simply plug & play & the included adaptors make it easy to switch from a mini USB connector (gopro) to 3.5mm jack (Drift Ghost). Came with two lapel clips, a foam cover, furry wind cancellation cover, diagram for how to use the little jack adapters correctly & a bag to keep it all together. Don't be fooled by the low price tag, this is a good bit of kit.One criticism I guess is that the foam cover fell off whilst in use (I was mountain biking & the cover is not really securely attached, must have blown or shaken off) so I am back to buy another set. Good to have spares. Also, as a user who always wear the mic on his body, plugged into a camera also on the body, the cable is impractically long sometimes. I guess that's for users who are giving a presentation & want to walk about a bit with their camera or computer nearby but stationary.Great work whoever designed & put this product together.

For what it is, the ease of use, and most importantly the price, the sound quality on this mic is amazing. Can be used with phones (I have a OnePlus 6t and my normal usb c headphone adapter works with this) so a dictaphone setup isnt required. Very very pleased with the purchase.
