Replaced an older one of a slightly different model
I got this to match the hole spacing of an existing showerhead at my parents' place that had developed several problems over the course of 15 years. The spacing was just right (and allowed for a little bit of adjustment to make sure it was a solid fit) and the assembly was a snap. I think if I were designing it I'd change the soap dish portion a bit so it was sloped to drain out away from the wall instead of near the wall, but that's the only thing I'd really change.

Good value, but feels cheapy
I liked many Grohe products in the past and have some still installed that are in great shape. I bought this product for a condo remodel and was startled by how cheap it felt. The sensation is like light plastic that won't last long, though the contractor said the mounting pole was metal. The stiff plastic hose with a poor imitation of metal was very disappointing, and I replaced it right away with a real stainless steel one. The most positive comment I can provide is that it is a good value compared to other options for a shower rail set. Buy at your own risk, and don't have high expectations.

Very nice
This was a great value. I struggled with the Grohe shower valve that I purchased with this, but this item was a piece of cake to install. Since I had just installed the shower walls, I knew where the studs were which made for a quick, solid install with only two screws. Very clean looking, solid, and trendy. Shower head works fine, although I'm not a connoisseur.
