So Far so Good...
After the stock fuel pump on my F-150 finally gave out I decided to go with high-flow Walbro pumps instead. Installation was pretty much plug-and-play and fairly easy other than the mishap of the missing wiring adapter from the Walbro 400-950 Fuel Pump Installation Kit.Pumps work well so far with a slight whine at highway speed. It's difficult to describe but it sounds like a high-pitch buzzing or wheezing almost like a small whistle at high speed. They're not at all loud as some of the online reviews state other than the wheezing but for some reason do get louder if the ambient temperature is higher. I haven't been able to figure out the reason for this yet. There was plenty of gas in the tank at the time so I don't think they were overheating or anything like that.I bought 2 of these Walbro GSS342 fuel pump from 2 different vendors (I bought one at the lowest price from one vendor who sold me his last one in stock then bought another from another vendor at a higher price) for a twin pump setup. One came in a box with the Walbro logo along with installation instructions while the other came in a Ziploc bag and nothing else. Just something worth mentioning for potential future buyers.Walbro GSS342 Fuel Pump

Works as expected and looks to be a legit walbro/ti pump

legit walbro!
legit walbro! was glad to see a real pump with chunky metal gears inside. there's tons of counterfeits of these that look identical but with cheap plastic internals and a short life.

More Cheaply Made
Replaced a Walbro branded GSS342 pump with this one. This one has different markings and seems to be more cheaply made than the previous one. The main difference is the top of the pump and outlet pipe is all plastic and the electrical connector is a bit taller. There is no locking clip for the connector either. It fit fine and so far seems to be working fine. I believe its also quieter than before.Apparently it is an authentic "Walbro" pump, just the parent company is rebranding their products.

Missed the return window.
The media could not be loaded. Pump has less than 1 minute of run time and not even flowing a single drop.Looks like a real Walbro (TI Automotive markings)Clean fuel. New tank. Out $80.

Seems like the genuine article
From all the knock-off “Walboro” pumps out there I was worried about this product, however, from what I can tell it seems like the real thing. Regardless it works great in my vehicle going on 6 months now.

Well built, same pump different name stamp
Having bought this item, received a pump stamped with T1 Automotive I was understandably angry and felt I was sent the wrong pump....even though the pump felt really stout and well built. Having done some research, T1 Automotive is the parent company of Walbro and is moving away from the brand to basically provide brand recognition and consistency in their global product catalog. In short it's the same pump made in the USA. I figured it out when I bought the kit I bought the first time and was sent the same, T1 pump, after having been sent a Walbro the first time.FYI: IF you have a WRX and this pump burns out after a month or two, it may be your fuel pump controller...as was my case.
