Whitefurze H04L030 Plastic Funnel 18cm (7")

My wife wondered why I was taking my water containers up to church last Monday as it was tippling. I explained that at this time of year the water butt that is fed by one of the downspouts dries up and I then have no means of watering the plants that I have just planted - so of course they die off before my eyes.My water containers, as recently reviewed, are wonderful but at 25 litres, I cannot lift them when full. So, I half fill them x 2 and my idea was to take them up there even though it was raining and attempt to get ahead of things by tipping them into the water butt. There are several of these at church; no doubt set up by those who have gone before me. Only one works however although it, when full, is supposed to tip over into the adjacent - in point of fact it never really fills let alone tips into the connected one. I have tried to tweak the downspout connector but to little avail. In desperation I used a lid from one of the unused water butts of which there are about 4. I turned this upside down and then used a toilet overflow pipe connector thingy to join the upside down one with the lid of the working one through the little hole in the centre, which is about an inch wide. I was hoping the big upside down lid would then collect a bit more water as it rained - and the jury is still out on this.What i did know, however, was that this wonderful funnel would be perfect. Its long spout will slot right through the central hole where the upside down lid and the water butt lid connect. I knew that I would struggle even lifting the half-full water containers up above my height which was correct and thus I would not have much time. Sure enough, I lifted the water containers with the funnel in place and it glugged the water down in no time so that the time I was supporting the water container was kept to a minimum. The wide diameter and long spout of the funnel took a load of water and it ran quickly into the water butt with the minimum of delay.This means, and of course its still raining !, but it means I do have a little reserve if each time I go up there I make sure I take some water and my super funnel. If the ground is wet then I can simply tip the water into the water butt to give me a cushion against the dry days. The funnel is inexpensive and the wide diameter is perfect for accepting a lot of water quickly while I stagger with the water containers. Ok, Formula 1 it isn't but hey ho small steps!

A very sturdy funnel. However, the description states 18cm. This is the length of the funnel not the diameter. Thought the diameter would be the spec! Diameter turns out to be 13.5cm. Not what I wanted, but it can be used elsewhere from intended use.

Ok but much larger than I wanted.

I bought this to refill my lawnmower with petrol from the plastic billy cans as the tubes that came with them didn't fit properly and kept falling off. I was forever spilling petrol on the mower and lawn and spending ages cleaning it all off again. After scorching my lawn with petrol yet again I had a eureka moment and scoured amazon for a funnel. Why on earth didn't I do this years ago! I inherited the lawnmower and the filling system and just didn't stop to consider an alternative. This funnel may be simple but it is really well made, a good large size and will surely last me forever. It has made mowing so much more pleasurable as I am not longer stressed when it comes to the refilling part.

Needed something solid to transfer a fuel mix from my mixing vessel to the chainsaw. This funnel was cheap and perfect size- great value.
