Works well on a standard full connection for my hitch. Use it on my Ford F150 for several trips and will be using on my new Tundra. No issues with the performance, design or durability. Simply but well designed.

I will admit I was skeptical about how good of quality these would be but for the price I didn’t figure I would be out much. I must say I am extremely pleased with them (ordered 2) I have one on my truck and one on fiancé’s SUV. Neither one have shown any signs of rusting and are perfect for our applications. They hold the hitches tightly and I no longer have any play when hauling be a trailer and no noise on the suv when hauling a cargo carrier. These are perfect.

Its a little cumbersome to put on depending on the hitch being used. Well worth it. It stops the rattle noise that drive me crazy when traveling.

I have a hitch mount bike rack and it flops just a little with the slight looseness in the hitch fit. This really tightened it up and made it much nicer to use. I also used it with a ball hitch for towing a vehicle trailer. Unfortunately, I later banged the U-bolt ends on the ground off-roading and it really bent them up, so I'll have to find a new U-bolt to replace it. It was not a big hit, so I suspect the U-bolt is pretty soft steel. If you go off road, it may work to use it with the plate and bolt ends on the top of the hitch--just don't tear your knee up on it!

Great product does exactly as described

The receiver I bought bounced all the time up-and-down started to wear grooves even in the receiver, couldn’t stand the constant noise. I bought this to alleviate the problem and it worked great. The only problem is you have to leave the hitch on to keep in place or else you have to keep taking it on and off, if you’re like me and kick the receiver hitch every once in a while.

I love that this hitch tightener took the wobble out of my 2-in hitch. Because you really have to tighten up the bolts to ensure the wobble doesn't happen as you travel down the road. However, I've noticed that after several uses, the U-Bolt has bent due to the tightness required. If the nuts are not tightened sufficiently, you will not be able to attain the purpose desired; the whole thing will rattle and possibly come apart. So, if you tighten the bolts to a sufficient tightness, after a while, the bolt will begin to bend. This makes it more difficult to tighten the nuts down due to the curvature of the bolt. It seems to me that the U-Bolt is made of fairly soft steel. I went to Home Depot to try to locate something in a harder steel, but nothing was available there. So, I'm going to try a couple of trailer hitch sales outlets nearby and hope they have something in a much harder steel. If I can't, then I don't see much future for this hitch tightener without continually replacing the U-Bolt after several trips. Overall, it works as designed, I just wish the material was of higher quality.
