Thrustmaster TH8RS Shifter (PS3)

For committed racers, the TH8RS is a great "mainstream" offering for when you simply have to have a stick shifter but don't want to pay the really high prices of some of the 'specialist' racing equipment makers. Pleasingly solid metal construction, rock solid table clamp, and a really good shifting action that mimics a real car gearshift.Switching between the 8-speed H-pattern and sequential is perhaps the only downside as it involves unscrewing the top plate and replacing it with the supplied sequential plate. Could be annoying if you want to change regularly, but this is the only real downside with an otherwise excellent design. Although some versions are listed as "PC" or "PS3", there doesnt appear to actually be any difference; the unit is supplied with a USB cable and the so-called PS3 version works quite happily on a PC.In summary: Looks great, performs as good as it looks. You won't be disappointed.

This shifter has exceeded my expectations by a country mile, I upgraded from a logitech G27 to Thrustmaster T500RS and this beautiful shifter, best thing Ive ever done, has taken racing simulation to the next level and the amount of in game settings etc this wheel and shifter seems to get is also great, PS4 games will work which is greatness if the game makers have added the wheel support, which Driveclub have and so have Project Cars, very exciting times, roll on October and November, have no worrys about parting with your money for this, the sequential shift plate is also great, and Ive put a 8 ball pool ball as my shifter knob as you can change the gear knob it has a 9mm thread, took me ages to find that info out, i measured it and it measured 8mm but it is 100 percent 9mm

All the important bits of this shifter are metal. Solid shifting experience, Good value purchase. This shifter also works with Windows PCs straight out of the box.

Really superb piece of kit, worth every penny even though the price isn't exactly cheap :) At the beggining I thought I will be missing gears, especialy 5th and 7th, but I;ve maybe done it twice. It's designed really well, changing gears is really pleasant and easy just after 15 minutes of playing. It won't make you faster during the races, but it definitely will give you more fun and enjoyment from the game. What striked me the most was the ability to mount it just the way you want it. I won't write a full review in here because you can look for it on the internet, so you can see just how many options this gearbox gives you.So far I'm really happy with it because it makes games much more challenging and fun :)

The shifter arrived surprisingly fast -it took two days from purchase to delivery to come in Greece- and well wrapped.Its built like a tank and i really liked the solid feel when in h-pattern mode.The sequential mode feels ok and gives a positive yet silent operation.For the price and the quality you simply cant go wrong.Recommended purchase for any sim racer imho.Ive yet to test it with my PS3 but i believe it ll work great.

got this just hours ago after a speedy delivery and its more than exceeded my expectations, gears fall into place as this shifter can just read what i am doing. a word of advice to anyone who is buying this for euro truck simulator 2 it will not work unless you have steering wheel with a clutch pedal as it requires an axis to use the h-shifter mode

The price was good and the build quality is fanastic, what a piece of kit. I have only tried it once to see if it worked and it was very realistic (like a real car). It also appears very adjustable so you can set it up exactly the way you like. I'm in process of building a racing sim rig and can't wait to start using it.Many thanks

for the price around the £59 and free shipping for this product it is just fantastic!I works superb in the two simulators I work with, iRacing and Project Cars.
