UPDATE: After posting my original review I was contacted by the seller offering a refund or replacement. Initially I ignored their request but they followed up, as they felt the item may have been defective. I agreed for a replacement if they felt it was defective and instead they sent me a larger item. That item, which has 240ml, lasted 15 minutes! It does lead me to believe the original item I purchased could have been defective because the difference from 150ml to 240ml should not have been an additional 10 minutes of use. Overall, I cannot say more about the original product. I can say that the seller made it right by offering a refund or replacement and the replacement item lasts longer than I expected and is still small and portable. They were a little pushy, but ultimately I got a product that works well. While I don't recommend the 150ml steamer, I do recommend their larger steamer. Unfortunately, the steam really only lasts 5 minutes and the amount/consistency of steam decreased after about 3 minutes. It seems that once about half of the steam is gone it doesn't have the power to emit enough steam to de-wrinkle. After 5 minutes, the water was pretty much gone. While it works for the first three minutes, it doesn't last long enough to be worth this product. I would purchase a larger steamer for more effective use.

This little steamer is great for what it is - inexpensive, no-frills unit for quick jobs on lighter fabrics. It's so much quicker and easier than busting out the iron and board in the mornings. It heats up quickly, but beware of the steam!!! It works perfectly on my blouses, dresses and some pants. Not the best for thick fabrics like sweaters or thicker pants, but it does the job for what I bought it for. If this doesn't work for you on lighter fabrics, note that it's not a fairy wand!! You can't just wave it near the fabric. It needs to be right up against the fabric, pulling taut. For this reason, my only criticism would be that I would prefer it to be angled so I can reach behind the fabric and point it towards myself, that way the fabric could pull taut and get steamed better. As the handle is designed, it's awkward to angle it that way. It holds enough water to steam 2-3 light blouses or one larger/thicker item. For the price and knowing its limitations, you can't go wrong.

Cons:The Kimryde Portable Steamer is cheap-looking and you REALLY CAN BURN your HAND while using it IF you put TOO MUCH water inside The Kimryde Portable Steamer. Follow the directions, Folks!Pros:The Kimryde Portable Steamer removes wrinkles from my clothes FAR BETTER than ANY iron I have ever owned.Yes, you can travel with The Kimryde Portable Steamer, especially if you remove the water and use the SUPER CUTE BAG it comes with. Yet, for me, The Kimryde Portable Steamer has replaced my iron at home.The BEST part about steaming with this product is you really DON’T have to worry about burning or melting your clothes.Overall:I have owned The Kimryde Portable Steamer for less than a year, and it seems cheaply made, so time will tell whether or not this is a good product.Sure, there is the threat of spilling scalding water while you use it, but you don’t have to worry about a HEAVY iron falling on your foot or burning a hole through your clothes.As for now, I am VERY PLEASED with how easy *ironing* now is. Steaming is almost FUN compared to ironing. If all goes well, I will buy a back-up Kimryde Portable Steamer to live inside my suitcase and be used for travel. Right now, I like it so much, I use it at home instead of my iron.

I originally purchased this item for travel abroad to steam out clothes from our luggage. I purchased a converter so that I’d be able to use it. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to test the product before leaving for my trip. Upon arrival in Germany for a wedding, I took my gown out to steam out the wrinkles. The steamer didn’t work. I thought maybe it was my converter. But, other items were working when plugged into the converter. So after returning home, I tried to use it again to see if the steamer would work. It did not. So, I notified Amazon and even though it was past the return date, they put me in contact with the seller. The same day, the seller replied that a new replacement steamer would be sent right away. No questions and no request for the original steamer to be returned. I’m happy to say the new steamer works great!! Only downside is it’s small and the water has to be replaced about every 5-10 minutes. But it really pulls those wrinkles out, better than my steam iron. I’m a happy customer!! I bought this steamer without even thinking about using it for travel. I just wanted something fast for when I pull an outfit out of my closet in the morning and need to get the wrinkles out before heading into the office. It's such a pain to set up my full-size steamer just to steam one shirt or dress at 7:00 in the morning.This little guy works wonderfully. It heats up quickly, and it gets the job done easily, even on tough fabrics. It's light and easy to hold, and I've found that I've even stopped using my regular steamer because this one is so much more handy and convenient.Back to the travel thing. I went out of town a few weekends ago, and I had some extra room in my bag. I thought, "what the heck, I'll bring it!" Why deal with trying to steam something by hanging it in the bathroom while I'm showering, when I could just bring this with me? Best packing decision I could have made.Oh, and I've had steamers in the past that are a little too intense such that they end up spraying water onto your clothes. I have not had that problem with this one. Five stars.
