Great to add smart functionality to a 4-way setup
Works great! Love Tapo devices. Integrates well with Google Home! If you have some electrical knowledge, it’s really easy to install. Like other Tapo devices, setup was easy. I used it in a 4-way setup. Just make sure you identify the line appropriately. Some dumb switches may have the load as the common, so when replacing, get your multimeter out to check!

Works with google and alexa
This is a nice device and economical too. Since Wemo switches are sunsetting their relay services in early 2026 , I’m migrating to TO LINK devices and or Hubitat based devices.I still like the Wemo design with the brightness lights indicative on the push face but maybe TP LINK will get around to that styling.These are an easy wall install and set up in the app. Will likely need a neutral wire (to support the device WiFi features while switch is in off position) most modern homes have them Good quality build and instruction page is a large easy to read color page. Not 3pt font requiring a magnifier 😵💫

Easy install and works
Very easy to install and a great app. Most of my house now is rigged and it feels strange to walk into a room and ask for the lights to turn on or shut them all off at night.

Works great.
Worked ask described. You only need to replace one of your 3-way switches in a circuit. It even works in a metal box with a plastic faceplate. Needs a neutral wire and replaces the 3-way switch that has the hot connection.

Better app, better hardware.
I agree with others that it "feels cheap" but you'll likely never notice once it is installed. Screw terminals for hot and neutral eliminate a couple of wire-nuts in the gang box (replacing a Wemo), so there's more room. Matter setup is simple, app setup is simple. Handles my mesh WiFi better than Wemo. Connects faster, responds faster, no dodgy Alexa skill needed for integration. All at 1/4 the cost. Belkin Wemo can go to...

The light on the switch will occasionally flash and the switch not be controlled by SmartThings
Installation was easy with good instructions. My only complaints are: the light on the switch will flash on on off occasionally and it will appear in smartthings as if the light the switch controls is suddenly on then off again even though the in bulb is off. On a rare occasion the switch will not turn the light bulb on or off when commanded to by a routine in smartthings. Note: I have not reported these issues to Tp-Link/Tapo.
