It is exactly what it says, but unfortunately the description is inadequate.The four blue ports are a USB 3.0 hub, which can connect to a computer via the included USB 3.0 Type A-Type A Superspeed cable. Those ports can also be used for charging (whether or not a computer is attached); on the unit I received the ports were a solid 5.0VDC and delivered 1.95A at each port with a nominal 2A resistive load (the spec is max 0.9A@5VDC). These are impressive results. Of course the total power draw for the entire unit can't exceed the 24W power supply, and there is no assurance that the hub can survive extended output at that level - USB 3.0 devices shouldn't be drawing above 0.9A each.The red port is a "BC 1.2" port: that is, within the USB Power Standards (refer to wiki on USB) it meets the Battery Charging (BC) version 1.2 standard (max 1.5A @ 5VDC, for 7.5W). With my resistive 2A load I got [email protected] green port appears to be a Quick Charge 3.0 port (it is marked "3.0" and is green). The description calls for 5V, 9V, 12V - which are the voltages used in Quick Charge 2.0 and similar technologies. QC 3.0 negotiates intermediate voltages, and I can confirm that my QC 3.0 phone does get them from this socket. So any QC 2.0 and 3.0 device should charge quickly (I don't know if QC 2.0 can charge the other non-QC 5V/9V/12V products).This very compact hub/charger is just what I wanted, and I can recommend it at this point. I will edit if I have issues later.

The unit seems to work just fine. I'm a bit concerned about that 12 volt charge port though, because I don't think it's safe to feed any device 12 volts through a USB connection. I have that port covered with tape. The high current 5 volt charge port works great.

Good USB 3 hub works fine. I knew the size of the power supply when I purchased it but I went with cheaper cost to fight a little bit with a bigger plug in supply.

I wanted to use this for transfering lots of information, photos, etc, between a number of 1TB and 2TB backup drives, since I only have 2 USB ports on the front of my 8yo computer. I was not expecting just how much data transfer would be strangled by this.I began transferring some directories of home pictures and videos between two drives plugged into this hub. Speeds were a comatose 1-2mB per second! I unplugged them and placed them directly into my two front USB ports, speeds were easily 16-20mB per second.It seems to work okay with my flatbed scanner, duplex sheet feed scanner, and laser printer. For the low price, I guess I can live with it for those purposes.

Got this for my ps4 since it only has 2 usb ports and (I think) only one of them is usb 3.0. Between the external hard drive and headset I was already out of ports so I needed to expand. I'll be honest, I have no idea what the red usb port is. I know the green is supposed to be fast charge which I use for my controller even though I don't think it is even capable of fast charge.

I have finally found the USB hub of my dreams haha. This worked great for usb 3 data transfer, has TWO hight power charge ports AND comes with an ac adapter! What more could I ask for?! It's also light enough to mount under the desk with double sided tape! Solid product!

It worked perfect for a few months, and then the USB ports stopped working on my bluetooth keyboard and printer. When I plugged in my keyboard and printer directly to the laptop, they worked normally. It's intermittent when plugged into any of the ports. I even replaced the USB cable with a brand new one, and still the same. I'm sure a lot of them last a while, but this one I ordered started failing. That's technology for ya! You get what you pay for!

The fast charger is a nice touch. It works really well and works when your computer is off. I wish the other charging port was either a fast charger or another usb port connection for your PC.
