Excellent value, looks good, easy to install, bought for my parents home. They worried about c02 because of all the news about people who were unaware of a leak in their homes, They feel safer and are sleeping better knowing they have it. It has a light that flashes periodically to insure that it is functioning properly and it will signal when the battery is low.

A very good inexpensive CO detector. It is a replacement for one that I've had for over 8 years. The nice thing is that it fits perfectly underneath my light switches so I can easily monitor it. Also because of the design, I can easily remember to test the unit each month.

My husband and I travel quite a bit and recently I have been hearing these stories about people who stayed in hotels in different countries and who died while sleeping from carbon monoxide poisoning. We were planning a trip to 2 countries with two other couples and after seeing these stories, I immediately decided to order these items for the 3 couples. These are very easy to use, appears to be good quality. Instructions are clean. Display is very easy to read. When tested, the alarm is quite loud and would surely wake you up from a deep sleep. We took the alarms on our trips and placed on the bedside tables. I like the fact that these are battery operated in steady of plug in. I will just change batteries before each trip. These now have a permanent place in my suitcase. Also note that it's not very heavy so does not take it a lot of space in suitcase.Note that i am giving it 5 stars, though obviously I can only tell if it performs exactly the way it should, if I am in an area with high carbon monoxide. I hope never to have that experience but if I do and all goes well, I will be back to update. If not.... well.

Seems to be doing its job. I like that i can put it anywhere. I guess if it doesnt do its job, I won't know it, because I'll be dead from carbon monoxide...LOL.. but Kidde is a well known brand so I'm pretty sure it will keep me alive!!!!
