Download the app for best setup resalts...
This music tool function as advertized. I use this wirh the sonicake pocket master. It added 10 times the value. Instead of have to flip through presets to change my tone it allows the pocket master to work like a stomp board with the ablity to turn all the effects off and on. The setup in the app was easy and it works wirelessly or pluged in via uab. I love this, would buy again, would strongly recomend for the pocket master. Perfect pair when you dont want to cary around your full rig...

You get what you pay for
I bought this MIDI pedal board and I am very disappointed with the software. Hardware wise feels ok. The iOS and Android apps are very low quality. Android works slightly better, but both feel unfinished and unreliable. You clearly want to use Custom Mode. There are the other modes which are very obscure and poorly explained, even the one designed for their own native equipment. In Custom Mode, you should not use more than two memory banks. If you add more, switching between banks becomes problematic and unreliable: After restarting it adds ghost bank tha you need to “click through” to restore order of banks. The positive side is that once Custom Mode is configured, you no longer need to use the app at all. That part works well. Another recurring issue is Bluetooth, which is flaky and disconnects unpredictably. Would recommend to use only in wired setup. Overall, given the price and size, the hardware has potential, but the software seriously hurts the experience.

Plays Nice with Valeton GP-5
Bought this to pair with a Valeton GP-5 and it works well. Sure, there are some limitations on the Valeton side of things, so I'm not faulting the Chocolate Plus in any way here. Programming could be a bit easier, but over all, this is an excellent value for what it offers.

Took all day to set up, many more to figure it out.
Nowhere or anyone tells you what app to download to start using this thing ( there is QR code on back of pedal) And once you do get the app figured out on your phone the program Is incredibly complicated. I spent 2 hours trying to get it to work and will not work. Will not connect, or connects and instantly crashes. My friend has an iphone so if course the app is in the app store and opens for him so i am able to update the firmware. After that it runs fine, a few hours later it's working with my Pocket Master. Took about 8 hours of trial and error to get it set up.

Highly Versatile, Great Value
This device is a great value. With 8 banks of 4 buttons each, it is very versatile and easy to setup. Both the documentation as well as the programming app have confusing english translation issues, but there's plenty of YouTube videos that explain how to program the device. Also, a useful add-on to TouchOSC.

Definitely get what you pay for
I bought this on a whim to use with my Pocket Master as well as a few other Midi devices here and there. Suffice it to say it works for the most part but not without a number of quirks and caveats. First off the instructions are very unclear. The instructions they try to link you to don't explain very well how the programming software works and you absolutely need the software to program anything on it. The software isn't on Googles play store rather you have to download it from their website which is a bit sketchy. I was luckily able to find a few Youtube videos that explained it way better than M Vave does and even then the software isn't super intuitive but after some patience I got it programmed more or less how I wanted it. It did connect to my Pocket Master right away without any issues as well as my phone and other blue tooth midi devices. Second the actual footswitches are not very responsive. They do feel bit cheap compared to most pedal switches. My biggest gripe is the signal isn't actually sent when the footswitches are pressed rather they are sent after the footswitches are released. I don't know if this is a fault of my unit, the software or just how it was designed to function but it makes using it for say switching effects on or off or starting and stopping a looper difficult without properly timing your release. Not helping this matter is the fact you really gotta step on the switches for them to respond. If you try to quickly tap and release the switches the chances it will trigger are unlikely. It also makes trying to press both the AB and CD switches at the same time challenging. Third is there is definitely a delay in the signal depending on what you are connected to and things like distance from whatever your controlling if your using it wirelessly. I noticed it with my Pocket Master after playing for some time it seemed to lose responsiveness over time. Resetting the units resolved it but even when hard wired using an actual cable there seemed to be a delay sometimes though it could also be to do with the unresponsive footswitches. I will say one cool thing that's not advertised very well about this is the Pedal jack doubles as a Midi TRS type A output for controlling hardware that has traditional midi ports. This was a cool bonus that I didn't know and makes it usable with more of my gear than I had anticipated. The Power switch on mine is a bit funky too and I'm worried about breaking it potentially by flicking it too hard or getting knocked off in my bag when I'm taking it somewhere. Overall does it do what I bought it for? Yes. Does it do it well or easily? No. Would I use it in a live setting or a situation where reliability is important? No. But for setting up with an amp modeler for practicing or home use then sure its usable.

Good switch
It works with the valet on gp5 as well as the Leo jaymz Silverbox. I tried it with the Leo jaymz silver box on a hunch to find out to my surprise that it works well to change the banks just like it does with the valeton gp5 which the reason I purchased it.

Really solid and great pricing
Really solid product. Perfectly good enough to scroll through presets on Mainstage and in Neural DSP plugins. Bluetooth is nice for home use BUT, in a live setting I would 100% use it wired via usb, it’s a but unreliable, works well for home use but you do not want it disconnecting suddenly in the middle of a performance.

Works perfectly with VALETON GP5. For more details search the videos on YouTube.
