4ft Heavy Duty Picnic Table in Natural Wood Garden Furniture

Edit: 2 years after receiving...Upping this to 5* review now, repainted it this year as photo (cat did not arrive with the bench! :')....)This has proven to be a fabulous purchase - stood up to children jumping from it, mass buffets and breakfasts, great outside craft table and it still stands good as new!Yes, take your time getting it ready and it is well worth it, I anticipate this outlasting us. :)OK... Firstly, for the price I paid, I got a good deal...However, I wish I'd taken it out of its packaging immediately, because taking it out on the day I want to paint and assemble it WASN'T a good idea...The benches each have a slat which is wet through - the packaging as I took it off was wet all along that side, so somewhere the packaging had been compromised - the same for the table top unfortunately...I have sanded everything down (I'd read the reviews and knew that was going to be needed, no problem) and currently have everything stacked in my living room in front of the fireplace on low heat to dry everything out before I can proceed to paint it and put it all together... (which looks a relatively simple task once everything is dried and prepped)To be fair, it doesn't look like the integrity of the wood itself has been compromised, its strong, sturdy, thick 4cm slabs and should dry out nicely, it's far better value than we were expecting, it just loses a star because of the damp issue....I'd very much advise making sure you have at least a couple of days to assemble this just in case, and it will need sanding down and I'd definitely advising painting and treating the wood with some nice quality outdoor paint - it looks like with a good start, TLC and set up this is going to last us years...Overall, I'd recommend and I will update this at the other side of summer with how well it has fared then!

Quite pleased with the product since it’s very sterdy and compared to other benches like this was considerably cheaper where also very easy to assemble. Seems to be pressure treated but if you can be bothered I would still recommend treating it for extra protection. All in all good quality and perfect for pub gardens etc. In my case it got used inns outside break area at my workplace.

Although a few pilot holes were missing, it was quite easy to build (not me, luckily) and looks great. Bought another.

Very happy with this product. Its very sturdy and can easily fit four adults comfortably. Had to contact company and they were very helpful. I'm not very handy and even I had it together in 20 minutes! Very pleased excellent value for money and great customer service.

For this kind of money I was not expecting 40mm thick timber which to say the least makes for a very sturdy great quality table, superb! And just as a useful footnote there was a sleight area of damage on the top which was caused by the couriers! The staff at MC would not stand for it not being to there high standards and sent out a new top ,customer service rarely seen these days many thanks Sophie and team

Excellent quality, heavy duty table at a very good price. The table comes semi built and is easily finished in about 20min. ( A good hand drill with a 10mm socket bit helps construction). The ends of the timbers can be a bit rough but easily sanded smooth.

Firstly customer service is terrible, waited a whole month and not even told what day it was coming nevermind a time slot despite me asking 4 times.One piece of seating had a large nail sticking up that hadn't been removed. The holes to assemble are literally just marks and an electric drill is needed to assemble it yourself. Several rough surfaces. Not at all happy given the amount of time it took to arrive.

Brilliant sturdy product. The finish was not too clever I have had to sand some parts quiet hard. The assembling instructions were very straight forward apart from underneath the centre where I found a piece of crossmember, according to the instructions, should not have been pre installed so I had to make my own screw holes to attach the side pieces.But was well impressed overall.
