Got this for my wife who is an avid gardener. She took to it immediately.The size is good for her hand. The cuts are clean and quick. It's got a generous length so you can get through more branch with less back and forth.A few days later, I found it in the wheelbarrow and it had been in the rain. I groaned as I was sure it was going to be all rusty. Was pleasantly shocked when I found it without any rust on it. Nice!

overall this is a sharp and great pruner. I like to keep foldable pruner tucked away while roped in a tree. A lot of times I use a pruner as much as a chainsaw while in a tree to get ready to make a cut or set ropes to fell a cut. This works and is sharp. Japanese steel is always nice hard and SHARP. Blade is a little more flexible than my 2 FELCO pruners but it works. I DO LIKE 2 2 positions for the blade. Helps when up in a tree for sure. The blade lock works but makes my thumb hurts is I have to chock up on the handle a bit for a cut. My issue not yours tho LOL This is for cutting GREEN(LIVE) wood or rough cutting I guess for rough construction. This is NOT a woodworking saw really!! THIS BRAND MAKES GREAT wood working pull saws but this is not it nor for it. Great value for a pruner tho

This is really quality saw. I got it for woodworking. It has got a very comfortable handle, it opens up and closes like a switchblade. It cut through a piece of pine I had laying around in a couple of strokes. The teeth are pretty sharp out of the box. The shape gives it rigidity so it's easy to cut straight. The saw blade has a thin kerf so minimal material lost. When folded, it's safe to handle and is about 8" long. To close, there is a push button mechanism at the base of the saw blade.As a bonus feature, The blade is relatively flexible so it can also be used as a flush saw. However, the blade's teeth are splayed a bit so when flush sawing, it leaves a mark on the surface of the wood, so can't use it for fine finished furniture but still I can find uses for this for shop projects.Given how compact this saw is, I expect it will find a lot of use around my shop. I will probably keep it in the large pocket of my shop apron.
