An excellent filter recommended. Air tubing needs a non return valve Sponge needs cleaning once a week Bio balls washed in tank water Charcoal change once a month. UV bulb changed every 6 months I found suckers inadequate so added a heater clip with sucker to underneath works fine. A realy efficient filter. A potential problem you can only get replacement filter cartridge on amazon, at present they have run out. But I love the filter

Absolute brilliant product, has been in a few days now and the tank is crystal clean! Was suffuring from green aglee but this filter cleared it all up, it’s silent aswel which is a bonus, yes it’s a bit more expensive but as always you pay cheap pay twice! Defo recommend 👍

Giving 5 stars as the filter it self is amazing silent and good power . Very easy to clean . I did have an issue with my uv not working but have since replaced it snd it's been flawless for 8 weeks now . Will be buying agian for all my other tanks

Only work for 2 weeks and green is coming back, the light is working but can’t stop green water.

Very good and effective filter. I replaced my small sponge filter with this bigger one. It works very well in my tank and after say a bit of cleaning of the gravel (which always throws up a bit of fine dirt) this filter clears it all in under an hour. I'm impressed with it.

I bought this despite the bad reviews because it had so many good ones. However, immediately I had the same problem as people who say it slips. It is heavy and I am having the same problem with it falling down. Worse however, is that it stops working after 3 to 4 days of use sometimes less. I take it out, I clean the sponge which is never clogged, I check the motor spinner which is always fine, I put it back in the tank and it works brilliantly (apart from the slipping) for 2-4 days, then it stops working. I have a lot of plants but the filter is never blocked with leaves so I don't think it's that - and this has been happening since before I planted the tank. The motor is still running, spinner still spinning - I can't work it out. I'm going to see if I can get a refund under the warrantee.
