A pleasant tasting tea that is marketed for combating gout issues
I ordered the Laicuherb organic uric acid tea to help manage and avoid my gout attacks. While it's only been a short time, I haven't had an attack. But this doesn't mean it works as the attacks come irregularly. I am hoping the tea helps keep my uric acid level down. The tea is easy to incorporate into my routine, and I appreciate that it's caffeine-free, so I can enjoy it any time of day without worrying about it affecting my sleep. The earthy taste is mild and surprisingly pleasant, not at all bitter like some other health related herbal teas I've tried. I'm also interested in the potential detox benefits and kidney support, as those are important aspects of managing gout. It's reassuring to know that it's an organic product. It's not a cheap tea, but if it works, I believe it's a good investment. Currently, I am using it 2 days a week and with each bag I seep it multiple times. Overall, while I'll need to continue using it to see the full effects, I'm optimistic or rather hopeful about this Laicuherb tea and would recommend it for others with gout issues to consider. I do suggest that you check with your health care professional to make sure it's OK for you to consume.

Deep earthy flavor with sweet notes
The Laicuberb Organic Uric Acid Tea for Gout Relief and Body Detox arrived inside two foil-lined sealed pouches. It smells and tastes fresh, and it appears to be a good quality, nutrient-rich tea. It has some unique ingredients, such as Cyclocarya paliurus leaf and kudzu root, that have been used in traditional medicines for their anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties.I was initially nervous about what such a mixture of ingredients would taste like, but it actually tastes very good to my palate. I tend to like earthy flavors, and this tea has a very rich, earthy flavor with some sweetness to it. The recommended steep time is 5 to 10 minutes. I stopped steeping at 5 minutes, and the tea already had a deep flavor, reminiscent of a thick broth in both color and mouthfeel. This is truly one of the more unique teas I've had, and I like it.I would have given this tea 5 stars except for an ingredient listing inconsistency: In some places on the package as well as on the product description, "chicory root" is listed; but in the Supplement Facts, that ingredient is not listed. I'm also not certain whether all of the ingredients are truly organic. I think manufacturers in general should be careful about how they describe products to ensure that they don't mistakenly over-promise relief.Lastly, the tea is on the more expensive side for just 10 tea bags. But I plan on using each tea bag at least twice within the same day to get better value. The flavor and nutrients will be lessened which each re-brew, but it still remains flavorful and should have some remaining effectiveness. Overall, this is an interesting, nutrient-packed tea that tastes good.

My husband was not happy with this tea.
I purchased this tea to see if it would help my husband since he suffers from gout. He tried it twice. Both times it made the gout worse. He has not tried it again since. We will not be getting it again. It was not effective for him. He said the taste was not bad. It was not good for pain relief. However, the value for the money was okay, but my husband was not happy with the results.

Not a magic cure, but good ingredients
People this is TEA, not a magical cure for goutAll of these herbs & ingredients are either anti-inflammatory, or rich in antioxidants, both of which help with gout flare upsI ordered this for my husband who has bad gout attacks occasionally. He also has kidney disease and unfortunately the medications prescribed for gout are bad for kidney function, so we look for alternate ways to help manage his gout without pills.I truly believe that if you drank this tea *regularly* it could help. I researched all of these ingredients and there are studies to back up their anti-gout properties, but a cup of tea is not going to cure you mid gout attack. I would put this in the category of "preventative care" when consumed regularlyTo best benefit from products like these you need to use them consistently, and with gout in general maintain a clean dietManage your expectations and it is an enjoyable tea.It tastes good and smells fresh. At only $1.50 per bag it is certainly more affordable than coffee shop tea full of God knows what inflammatory ingredients. The bags are easy to use and you can get more than one cup's worth from each bag if you let it brew for a bit

Very mild tea with excellent flavor.
The LAICUHERB ORGANIC URIC ACID TEA FOR GOUT RELIEF AND BODY DETOX turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. I was worried I wouldn’t like it because a tea I tried that was marketed as an herbal product for kidney stone sufferers was undrinkable. It was so horribly bitter I ended up throwing it all away. By contrast, this tea tastes really good. This has several plant ingredients that have long been used in Eastern medicine for gout relief. The teabag is filled with a large variety of these plant materials in large enough pieces to be identified. The tea bags themselves are good quality and very robust. After steeping in 8oz of water for the recommended 5 to 10 minutes, the tea has a mild pleasant taste that you can add lemon, sweetener, or milk to, if that is your preference. I added a little bit of honey to mine, but it wasn’t necessary because it is really good by itself. The only thing I don’t like is that you only get 10 tea bags. My husband has experienced a couple of gout flare-ups. They are very painful. Scientific data supports the notion that drinking lots of water can flush the uric acid from your system and provide some relief. I have no idea how much of this tea you would have to drink to get rid of gout or to prevent it in the first place. 10 teabags doesn’t seem like enough.I don’t know how effective it is for gout, but it is very good-tasting tea.

Fine
Good herbal tea and a little disappointing that it only has 10 bags.Like another reviewer, I took a star off because of the confusion about the chicory root's inclusion.
