AARON - Shock Suspension seatpost - Aluminum Bike seat Post for E-Bike, MTB, - 1.1", 27.2 - 30,9 - 31,6 mm Diameter, 13.8" (350mm) Length

I purchased the 27.2 version of this AARON suspension seat post in August 2023. At the time I could not find this particular style of seat post on the manufacturer's website. The suspension seat post on the manufacturer's website had a different saddle mounting in that the saddle was set back an inch or so like what you see on a typical mountain bike. This model of seat post does not have any set back which I actually prefer for strength. So I don't know if this is a new model or an older one. At the time of purchase there were no English language Amazon product reviews and the majority appeared to be from European customers. From what I can tell the manufacturer is based in Germany and they appear to be in the process of introducing their products to the U.S. market. When I made my purchase on Amazon the "Sold By" field said "MM COMMERCE GmbH". I did a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office search on that company and they appear to be either the parent company of AARON or is the same company so "MM COMMERCE GmbH" isn't some random 3rd party reseller and it appears to be directly tied to the AARON brand.I purchased this seat post because after a bumpy mountain bike ride over a very rocky path I experienced lower back pain the next day since my mountain bike has no rear suspension. I guess I am getting old so I purchased this seat post in hopes of getting a smoother and less bumpy ride. I didn't want to get the cheapest seat post since there appear to be more quality control issues with them and the saddle mount breaking seems to be a common problem with the cheaper $25 range seat posts. I also didn't want to spend $100+ dollars so this seat post at around the $50 price point seemed to be a decent compromise. When the seat post arrived it was packed good and the build quality was better than I expected. It even had torque specs listed on it which was impressive to me. There was no flex or give in the suspension part that goes up and down or any other part on it. The tension is easily adjusted with an included allen wrench. I weight 196 pounds and the seat post had no problems supporting me and there was still enough adjustment to accommodate someone heavier. The heavier you weigh the tighter you need to adjust the seat post tension to properly support your weight and still provide a cushioning when you hit bumps. The instructions were mostly in German and there was a small section in English. However the pictures in the instructions were good enough where you don't really need to read anything. There isn't much to figure out. You mount the saddle like you normally would and then you adjust the tension to your weight. Adjusting the tension is just trial-and-error. You just need to ride the bike and if you are bottoming out on the seat post when you hit a bump then you need to adjust the tension tighter.After I mounted the seat post I went on the same ride I did before on the rocky path and the next day I had no back pains. So the suspension seat post did exactly what I was hoping for and I would have no problems purchasing it again. If this seat post breaks on me I will update this review to indicate that but so far it seems very solid and I expect it to last a long time.

Reading some reviews and didn't want people to think you can't adjust seat level or tilt the angle. There's a mechanical (1/2 circle that can make it tilt before you tighten the bolts. Overall performance is good for the money. It's not a air shock, it's a spring counter shock. If you have a spring front shock it would be perfect, but if you have a air front shock like myself it's good but definitely not perfect. Hope this helps.

Easy to fine tune the compliance with a set screw. I set mine so my weight is almost enough to compress the spring, so there is only cushion when I hit bumps or washboard. Really changes the riding experience on gravel roads and I don't lose any pedaling efficiency. A 4-hr gravel ride used to be agony, but after using this I feel great at the end of my rides. An unexpected feature is that the rear wheel stays engaged better on descents, so my braking feels more solid.

Purchased this suspension seat post for my girlfriends hard tail ebike. This made her bike much more pleasant to ride in all conditions. The other perk is that it is adjustable to a riders weight, which provides a bit of customability. Bottom line, it works.

My new e-bike does not have any suspension and beats my butt, even over just cracks in the street. This seat post has solved most of the problem. I weight 190 lbs and the shock absorbtion is about right.The seat post does not have enough adjustment to allow the saddle to be made Level on my bike - the seat is too high in the front. May be a problem from the bike design with the seat tube angled too far to the rear.This problem could be solved by better mounting attachment for the saddle.

My original post had an offset to it. As a result, my seat was adjusted as far forward as possible, and still not enough, so I needed a zero offset post.Came across this one in my search. The fit inside the seat tube is perfect. (Check your seatpost before you buy. On most occasions, the size will be stamped into it closer to the bottom of the post) I found the adjustments at the clamp to be exactly as expected, with plenty of room for the forward adjustment I needed.The suspension is very smooth for a mechanical post. I didn't feel a "pogo" effect to it like most suspension seatposts have a tendency to do. I did do 1 turn on the adjustment to tighten it, but it may not have even needed it.A couple of things: It did appear that this may have been a returned post that didn't fit, as there were scratches at the bottom of the post, but once I installed it and did some riding, that wasn't a big deal. The other thing, and I knew it when I chose this post, is I kinda wish it had a boot on it.Overall, this is a great suspension post. If you find your stock suspension post has that "pogo" effect, you may want to take a look at this post. Well constructed, and very smooth operation.

Instead of working like a shock absorber, it simply keeps getting lower until you stand up on the pedals. Then it goes n starts slowly going down again. Useless.

Sattellstütze , schnell und problemlos durch Service ersetzt!

Die Federsattelstütze kam in einer wertigen Verpackung an und beigefügt mit dabei war außerdem eine Anleitung. Ich habe den Durchmesser vorher ausgemessen, deswegen war der Einbau sehr einfach weil die Größe gepasst hat. Und mit der Anleitung als Hilfe habe ich auch den Sattel problemlos befestigen und justieren können. Die Materialien und Verarbeitung wirken sehr hochwertig und die Sattelstütze selber macht auch beim Fahren einen sehr guten Eindruck. Vor die Federung ist für meinen Rücken Goldwert und dämpft so Unebenheiten im Boden super aus!

Ich habe die Federsattelstütze von AARON für mein Mountainbike gekauft und bin begeistert. Die Sattelstütze ist sehr leicht und hat eine gute Federvorspannung, die sich gut einstellen lässt. Ich habe sie auf mehreren Trail-Fahrten getestet und sie hat sich bewährt. Der Sattel bleibt gut in Position und die Federvorspannung gibt mir genügend Unterstützung auf ruppigen Strecken.Die Installation war auch einfach und die Anleitung war leicht verständlich. Ich habe keine Probleme beim Einbau gehabt und die Sattelstütze hat gut funktioniert.Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden mit der Federsattelstütze von AARON und würde sie auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Die Sattelstütze wurde in einer Kartonverpackung verschickt. Mit dabei waren auch passende Inbusschlüssel, sodass ich mein Werkzeug gar nicht gebraucht hätte. Ich habe die Sattelstütze auf mehreren anspruchsvollen Strecken getestet, und sie hat mich wirklich überzeugt. Der Sattel bleibt in der richtigen Position und die Federung bietet genau die richtige Unterstützung, wenn es mal etwas rauer wird. Auch die Sattelneigung und Position kann sehr einfach über die beiden Schrauben eingestellt werden. Das Wippen, dass manche Federsattelstützen haben, ist hier überhaupt nicht vorhanden. Das Fahrgefühl ist einfach nur angenehm und komfortabel. Ich hoffe, ich sie wird mir noch lange erhalten bleiben.
