Will this grow kit survive shipping in the summer heat?

At North Spore we ship our products year-round and generally do not have issues. However, extreme heat can pose a problem to mushroom mycelium. We guarantee a successful mushroom-growing experience for you, which is why if your kit ever does not produce you can contact us and we will replace it for you!

How big is this kit? in lbs? How many lbs of mushrooms can I expect to harvest?

It is a grow bag about 10 inches square. I got two nice flushes, both were about half a pound or so. Or approximately, two man sized fists, side by side per flush. Each flush gets smaller.

A couple spots of the mushroom are turning brown. did i miss the harvest window? there was never the “fuzzy” texture that i was looking for.

Some places on mine turned brown as well. I think it's fine to harvest and cook up. Mine have been delicious fried in a bit of butter. Mine wasn't fuzzy but sort of bumpy. I have had 3 flushes so far and am very happy about that.

Should I cut a new X for the second flush or spray where the first one grew?

Hi I cut the X a little bigger and started spraying the second time. The third time I decided I should soak the inside part of the box. And its growing once again. Love North Spore!
