A decent backup pocket knife
This review is for the VEVOR brand 3.5” folding pocket knife.I have a lot of cheap knives from a lot of manufacturers, and use them every day. This knife...there is better to be had in this price range. The knife is very basic. The hinge is just your basic hinge with no assisted open feature, and a liner lock holds the blade in place once it’s open. There is a clip for you pocket or belt on the side, and a small hole for a lanyard on the end next to the clip. The handle is made of “G10” fiberglass, according to the description. The blade is not particularly sharp out of the box, so you’ll want to spend some quality time with a sharpening stone or other alternative. The knife opens and closes smoothly, but the liner lock doesn’t always snap into place unless you SNAP the knife open with a flick. If you open it gently or without enough force, it will not always lock in place, sometimes even at full extension...this is a knife I will always have to check to make sure it’s locked open whenever I use it. The blade and hinge seem quite stable; there was no side to side movement anywhere in its range of motion.Overall, this is a good, solid pocket knife, but I can’t honestly say I’m impressed, not even in this price range. My main problem with it is the fact that after testing it for a while, I just can’t bring myself to trust the liner lock to snap in place like the cheap knives that make up my EDC rotation. It doesn’t feel cheap, but it is equivalent to other knives I own that cost half this much. This one will be relegated to one of the desk drawers in my home office.

Sharp and Smooth
Super sharp. Very smooth opening and very secure lock. I was going to add crusty skins but the ones it came with are so nice I’m keeping them. Cannot beat this for EDC at this price. I have a Benchmade and Firecraft and this little guy is every bit as good so far.

Decent pocket knife but handle could be improved
This pocket knife is fairly good quality for the price. It arrived with a nice sharp edge, releases smoothly, and stores away securely. The handle could be better, though, since it has a bit of a texture to help grip on one side only, while the other side is smooth. This is not ideal as it could cause the knife to slip around in the hand while holding it.

A great little knife for a camper.

good EDC
Got this to put in the EDC rotation and coming from a Kershaw Cryo II, this is about the same size. The VEVO may be a little thicker on account of the g10 handle bevel but is noticeably lighter. The build quality is good, the blade sits in the middle of the trench, so no rubbing on open/close. It comes pre-lubed and opens with a snap and locks in place with a somewhat thin but adequate blade lock. The only shortcomings I can call out are the belt clip and blade orientation. It cannot be moved to the other side and is attached to the case with 2 screws that are aligned vertically, so it will come loose and require tightening (or use threadlock). The Cryo's belt clip has 2 screws but they are on each side of the clip and more resistant to the horizontal movement the clip experiences with use. My other issue is with the belt clip being on the same side as the point, if the blade is accidentally opened in a pocket, there's a greater chance of it catching on something when being pulled out. It's not a big deal, probably more preference.
