It works great but the instructions aren't always easy to understand because the system is awkward for controlling measurements.

This thing is fairly loud, and scared my cat the first few times it went off. Eventually he got over it and now they runs to it like a dinner bell. My cat is a fatty, so I bought this machine because of the "frequent feed" option, you can set it to dispense around a tablespoon of food as many times as you like over the course of the day. For example, my cats are fed nine tablespoons between 12am and 10pm.I had initially worried about two cats sharing the bowl, but it's fairly large (think salad plate sized), and the frequent feedings mean that they're less inclined to go ape sh#t over the food in the bowl. They more or less take turns eating what spills out because there's less food competition.Big bonus: after only about 5 days they quit begging me to feed them. No more 3, 4 and 5am wake ups or full-tilt runs around the house. They just go about their important cat business with the understanding that the kibble god will provide for them when they need it.I was initially hesitant to shell out this much money for a pet related product, but I am very glad that I did. I'm happier and so are my cats.

New Review: 2016I have now had this feeder running daily since 2014. I have changed the batteries once in two years. I have never had a problem with this feeder. It's easy to fill and clean. The bowl is large enough for two cats to share (provided they like each other). It has a useful feature to crank out an extra feeding whenever you like, without messing around with the daily settings. My cats are relatively well-behaved and they have never knocked it over or raided it. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.Old Review: Almost awesomeWorks great so far. We've had it for about a week and it seems pretty reliable for our uses. We're feeding a cat who tends to gulp down her food & then throw up. This feeder has a useful feature for spreading out a day's worth of food evenly over the course of the day, so the overall amount she gets to eat during the day is plenty, but the cat doesn't have access to too much at any one time. She can knock out a few pieces here & there from the spout if she tries, but since they come out only a few at a time, it's still an effective device for preventing her from wolfing down a whole bellyfull of food and then horking it up. The plastic is rubbery and tough, and the lid snaps on, so the whole thing is pretty well cat-proofed. Also, the bowl snaps into the base, so it can't get knocked away from the spout. There are only two negative things about it: the noise it makes and the batteries it takes. The noise is downright startling and pretty loud. On the other hand, it's a pretty good backup alarm clock because when it starts going in the morning, there's no way to sleep through it. It takes 4 C batteries, with no option for a wall plug. In my opinion, that's just silly. It has to run all day, every day, so it should at least have an optional wall plug.

Product was simple enough to program. However the product is very inconsistent with dispensing dog food. On several occasions I observed the dispensing process start and zero food dispensed. Other times the dispensing process would start and much less than the programmed amount would dispense. Sometimes it did work as advertised however the frequency of the above is enough to lack trust that our dog was being fed adequately. Additionally the product is rather loud. One of the main reasons for purchasing the item was to avoid our dog waking us up very early on the weekends wanting to be fed, instead now the dispensing process wakes us up. This is the first automatic pet feeder I have purchased so I don't have a relative comparison but I would not purchase this product again nor would I recommend the product to anyone else.

I was really excited about this product because I sometimes work long hours but I want the pup to have a steady eating schedule. The basic timing function is good and works like it is supposed to. But it only took my small dog (9lb Chihuahua) a day to figure out that he can get his face under the feeding mechanism and lick the food out of the tube. The machine works by holding the next serving size in the feeding tube, and then releasing it at the scheduled time. Which is great, if your dog can't get to the food sooner. If he can, he will eat most of that serving too soon and leave very little to come out at the designated time. I was pretty disappointed, and I had thrown the box out immediately so I can't return it. If you have a larger dog that wont be able to get his tongue into the feeding tube, I think this would work much better.

I had the animal planet one and it was the biggest POS I have ever bought. I was always worried that my dog wasn't getting fed. I was skeptical about this one with my previous encounter with an auto feeder. This keeps time and feeds at the times I have set up for it.

Item works as intended. We use it to feed the ferret when we take trips. I like that you can select the size and the price was good for a smaller unit

programmation pas très aisée , mais on y arrive ! le calibrage de la dose de distribution est assez laborieux , et doit être refait si l'on change de taille et forme de croquettesne pas hésiter à bien remplir le réservoir et à incliner l'appareil légèrement vers l'avant , sinon risque de faire sauter quelques repas à l'animal lorsque la vis sans fin se désamorce . Montage et démontage facile pour nettoyage : il peut être utile de sangler le réservoir sur le corps du distributeur , lui même fixé sur une planche support deux vis car ma picpus s'est fait un plaisir de tout virer au début , mais j'y ai mis bon ordre !

Wir haben diverse Kammerbasierte Futterautomaten getestet aber alle wieder zurück geschickt. Diese hier haben wir behalten weil man wirklich oft und klein dosieren kann! Ich bin überzeugt von diesem Gerät. Auch wenn es etwas einfach umgesetzt wurde, es funktioniert prima! Wir sind am Wochenende manchmal ein paar Tage weg, in Verbindung mit dem Lucky Kitty Katzenbrunnen unbezahlbar :)Wir füttern nur noch über die Automaten.

Très bien si votre chat n'est pas obsédé par la nourriture ! En ce qui me concerne, j'ai quand même dû faire quelques modifications pour que ma chatte n'introduise pas sa patte au niveau de la vis sans fin et faire ainsi tomber les croquettes. Du coup, la bourrique a changé sa technique, elle secoue le réservoir ! Il faut impérativement que l'appareil soit fixé sur une planche de bois, et je vous conseille, si vous avez un chat comme le mien, de faire un caisson en bois qui recouvre l'appareil pour qu'il ne puisse pas faire tomber sa nourriture quand bon lui semble.Le produit est bien mais il pourrait être amélioré.

Der erste Testlauf mit neugierigen Kater zu dessen Pfoten hat diesen in dieFlucht geschlagen und mich verwundert. Es wird lediglich eine Drahtspierale von 6 cm länge angetrieben, dabei entstehtein Geräusch wie bei einem Türsummer und das kann es doch nicht sein. Des weiteren Frage ich mich nach dem Unterschiedzum C3000 (außer Preis und Aufschrift "Cat Mate" anstelle "Dog Mate"Überzeugend ist lediglich die Variabilität der Steuerung und wenn der Automat weit weg vom Schlafzimmer steht.
