Why are no sellers delivering this to UK mainland ?

Dear customer, They are manufactured and stocked in the UK mainland so this question is surprising. The current reason why they're not available to the rest of Europe (and they have been in the past) is sending them into an Amazon fulfilment centre is costly, as are the storage fees (based on size of product) once they've arrived. This in turn means the cost needs to be passed on to the customer to make European sales worth doing - in turn inflating the product's price beyond its worth (I hope that makes sense). If the product doesn't sell due to its hiked prices then the storage fees creep up. Tried and tested, sadly it wasn't sustainable - however, it doesn't mean it won't be attempted again someday if things change.

Could you sit on these? I need to get something for camping and it would be useful to have a storage box which doubled as seating.

No, I wouldn’t recommend it as the lid is in two halves that interlock the weight of someone sitting on it will push the lid halves downwards. You can store the boxes on top of each other but anything else will damage the lid.

Are these 8ltrs a box or 80ltrs in total?

80 litres they are big, nice quality storage boxes

Will these keep mice/rats out?

Nothing will keep mice and rats out unless it’s made of steel.. they do completely close and you can cable tie them closed making them mostly rodent free, of course, unless they chew through the plastic. I’ve bought 40 of these they are not cheap but they are very good
