Works exactly as described, starts car instantly. Great little device.

I left my Audi 1.8 unused during the recent cold snap and ‘phut’ – flat battery. The power pack arrived with a 100% charge. Connect the jump cable to the pack (there’s a little flip up flap at one end with the terminal underneath) before connecting the clamps to the car battery - red (positive) terminal first, black (negative) second. Expect a brief spark or two from the black terminal which shows that the connection has been made. Switch the power pack on using the on/off switch and turn the ignition. After a brief whine my car started with no problems. The instructions emphasise that you should remove the pack immediately after starting the car and not to leave it connected. After disconnecting the pack (black first, red second) I discovered that the 100% charge had dropped to 62% so the pack had to be re-charged, which took around 45 minutes.Ideally, the black jump lead could be a little bit longer but I was able to manoeuvre it into place before connecting. The pack came with a 1x3 USB lead which I’m presuming you can use to charge your phone and a cable/connector which plugs into your cigarette lighter socket. There is a torch function which is accessed by the switch next to the USB sockets – a steady white light and a quick and slow flash function which I’m assuming you can use to warn oncoming traffic if you break down. There’s also a compass built into the pack.The whole caboodle comes enclosed in a black zip up case which allows you to store the pack in the boot of your car. The instruction booklet is fairly easy to read and comes with pictures for us thickies which show how to connect to the car battery.A must have for any car owner during the winter months and well worth the £31.99 I paid for it.

Wouldn’t start my carList charge straight away

This is genuinely a great jump starter the led lightning isn’t the brightest but you don’t buy this for a torch light. Started my 3.2litre Audi that’s been dead for months on the first try it stuttered into life.

I have a 2 litre diesel Beetle which we drag out during our very short summer month !! Because it stands for a long time the battery does go flat and so I had the perfect opportunity to try this Jump Starter out.After checking for 100% charge I connected it to the terminals and tried to start the engine, It managed two or three turns and then gave out so I recharged and tried again, no end result, it doesnt seem to have sufficient energy to start the car.I also tried it out on my Motorcycle, a 1000cc BMW and it flew over and started successfully so it does work but the claim of up to 6 litres seems optimistic to me so a 3 Star rating.In fairness it is priced at the lower end for this type of Jump Starter and it has a function on smaller Engines and Motor Bikes etc.

Does exactly what it says attached it to my car battery turned it on and tried to start the car and it started 1st time. And what an amazing price
