Loved this. As usual, character development is excellent and so engaging with the plot. Martin's writing speaks to the heart in a spiritual/philosophical way that is real and not cheesy.

This was a very good read. It was very well written and very compelling to read. It was an enjoyable read.

I think I just found a new favorite author. The emotions from the story are so real. I cried SEVERAL times. Awesome book.

This book had everything to keep you reading and then wanting more. I really enjoyed reading. Just hope the next book is a good

What a powerful story! The author is gifted. His ability to describe the human condition evokes deep emotion. He masterfully weaves words and the storyline into a beautiful tapestry of human experience that stirs the heart. I couldn't put it down. This was my first introduction to Charles Martin. I'm about to buy another of his books to enjoy another great read.

I found this book very enjoyable. Good character definition. It was an emotional journey, tugging at the heart at points, laughter and some tears. I would recommend it.

As Mr. Martin said, somehow words cannot convey the message. A beautiful beautiful story. Thank you, Mr. Martin, for this!

Not my usual fare. Glad I read it. Heart-rending and well written

I love all of Charles Martins' books. He portrays his characters so touchingly and imperfect, that I just fall in love with them. His stories move inside my head long after i read the book and I feel like they touch me and my life, always.This one is about fatherhood and being a son and finding out who you are. A topic that everyone can relate to.I read ALL of Charles Martins' books and he is one of my favorite authors, so of course, I recommend all his books.

I read 3 novels every wk, and this is a standout book among the many dozens upon dozens I have read in recent years. It has wonderfully developed characters, lots of intricate details and it’s a story that is so unlike any other I have read. And that’s what I love, it’s originality and that it’s not a predictable book. It’s got so much going on…. it has tension, humour, heart tugging and feel good moments among other good things!!! Honestly I can’t say enough and yet I don’t wanna be specific and give anything away for new readers! It’s simply a must read book ❤️
