Sajda Vol 1 &2 Jagjit Singh Lata Mangeshkar

I'm new to Indian ghazals though I already have music from both these artists. This is a wonderful compilation of songs, beautifully performed and wonderfully orchestrated. I'm english so I cannot understand the words but there is no need to because everything about the music conveys the sentiment of the ghazals as opera does. I think this must be the eastern equivalent of western opera and I just love it. I know Jagjit Singh is no longer alive and Lata Mangeshkar is a grand old lady but they have made something wonderful here and I'm glad I've discovered it and I will enjoy it enormously for years to come - thank you to both of them

A brilliant album! what a combination - Jagjit Singh-ji and Lata Mangeshkar! I am delighted with the range of ghazals in the album. This album is invaluable for me. I'll treasure it.
