Growing like crazy!
I started these seeds at the end of July, and they started growing in less than a week! They really have taken off since! Make sure you have something they can climb, as they love to go higher and higher! I have yet to try the cucamelons, as they’re still growing, but I’m impressed with the quality of the seeds and how quickly they took off!

Survived Hurricane Hillary A+
I've heard (and it says so right on the packet) that these seeds take weeks to germinate. I was very surprised (and totally unprepared) when most of the seeds germinated in two days. I germinated them under light in a moist paper towel over a seed heating pad and it was already 75-80F ~50% humidity interior if that helps. I used around 20 seeds and got 15 to germinate and 15 healthy plants, half of which I need to give away somehow...I've also heard that these plants are very susceptible to transplant shock, so I seeded them in grow sponges so that their roots wouldn't move much during transplant. I then transferred them to 3" planters to harden outside, then planted them in soil. They are all growing well two weeks and a tropical storm later. Can't wait for some melons!(3 weeks later) Wow these things are almost 5 feet tall now. I should have set up a bigger trellis.

They grow, have patience
I got these May 2022. I didnt have much luck the first year i grew them. High wind, scorching sun and dry conditions were not good for this type of plant. Using those same seeds I tried again this year and they are flourishing! I have them in shade for most of the day and they get the evening direct sun. I keep soil moist at all times, and being in the shade makes that easy to keep damp. They are exploding with vines and need alot of room to climb. They take almost 2 weeks to germinate, and for the first month they don't grow much. It was discouraging, but with patience they will get established and take off. They are a beautiful vine and they have the cutest little fruits. Not much for taste, but they have a good crunch.

Grew long, spindly vines and bore no fruit. Full sun planted next to watermelons which produced fruit. Do t waste your money.

Cucamelon Seeds
Not impressed with how these turned out. Plants grew fine, but no flowers for the production of cucumbers. The plants look deformed.

awesome!
I’ve been wanting cucamelons since i saw them on tiktok last summer, it was too late to start them from seed so I waited until this spring/summer to grow them. Patience is key but overall I’m very pleased with the results of these seeds! Almost every seed germinated but I ended up having 4 plants to make it to be planted (mostly my fault because I left seedlings in the sun too long one day). You don’t really need a lot anyway because these 4 are taking over my entire trellis and have lots on them!I’m in zone 7aMarch 14: started seeds indoors, taking them out for sun/heat every few daysMay 4: planted 4 plants in garden, on an automatic sprinkler systemJune 17: got the first batch of cucamelons!
