ACC-1400 Anti Static Wrist Strap with Grounding Wire

The wristband works and did what it was supposed to do, but it was annoying compared to just touching the sides of the computer every couple of minutes. I honestly don't think it is worth buying this unless you are truly paranoid of messing up your computer, or have awful memory. It is easier in my opinion without it, and very manageable even if you have not built a computer or worked on one beforehand. I don't use it anymore since its more troublesome than useful when working on my computer or others. Overall, its up to you. If you want peace of mind that's fine, however it is possible to work on your computer without this wristband and its likely that this will happen when you become more experienced (and possibly lazy) with your computer later on.

Pro's: Cheap, good aligator clip that stays where you put it.Cons: Would not fit anyone with large wrist.Used this on a recent computer build and would recogmend it. Gives you a peace of mind, if you cant remember to ground yourself every time you work on computer. Did not seem cumbersome to me at all. If I needed to movefrom the computer just unclip and clip to strap instead of using snap that might fail at a later time.

It is a good strap with a good length / tension alligator clip to provide grounding on your computer frame. The velcro strap is nicer than some wrist bands which have elastic bands because it can more snugly fit more people (i.e., doesn't slide up and down your forearm). For me it is almost too snug, however. The package says "one size fits all", but I am just under 6 feet tall and of medium build and it barely got around my wrist enough to lock the velcro strap in place. So if you are over 6 feet tall or have large wrists you probably want to try something else.

I was worried this wouldn't fit my wrist ( I am a BIG person at 6'3", most watches don't even go around my wrists) but it does. These are a must have for working on computers as even a small electrostatic discharge can fry a system or circuit. My only suggestion is for the manufacturer to put a longer straight section of cable before the coiled portion and give another velcro band so that you can run the wire down your arm and attach it so that it's out of the way when you're working.

I just got into installing my own RAM and HDD to my new gaming laptop so it was important that I didn't damage anything during installation. The Anti Static Wrist Strap works great, but the strap is a little too small and I don't have very large wrists to begin with so if you have larger wrists I may recommend a anti static mat instead.

The ACC-1400 wrist strap comes with an alligator clip end to ensure that it stays attached to whatever you grounding point you decide to attach it to. It also has a sufficient amount of a hook and loop fastener for attaching around your wrist. I have a medium sized wrist. Wearing it feels comfortable and it does not irritate my wrist. The snap connection point where the cable connects at the wrist has a 1M Ohm resistor in it to help in the prevention of getting shocked. Overall the price to include shipping is well worth the purchase.

Uh, don't really know what to say here... the Velcro is decent quality? The spring clip feels solid enough. I guess I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have diamond studs and it didn't replace my processor for me. But really-it's a good item-doesn't really scream quality, but worth the seven or so bucks.

There isn't much to an anti-static wrist strap as they are all more or less the same. The issue I had with this particular product is that if you have a medium/large wrist, the strap barely fits, so it's somewhat of a challenge strapping the device to your wrist. It would have been amazing if they made the Velcro strap a few inches longer so that it would be easier for people with larger wrists to use.
