Medium Gaming better than xbox one or prebuilt
(ALL DESCRIBED WITH NO PERFORMANCE TWEAKS OR SETTINGS CHANGES)Minecraft runs around 1400 fps default settings.Fortnite just around/under 100, high quality settings, no lag or stutter, I won’t even bother performance tweaking it as it runs so well as is. Max render distance, can see the entire island every tree and building with no lag or chop. Just low-mid fps is all. Had better quality, load time and render distance than xbox one. From unbox to Minecraft downloaded - Maybe 10 minutes. Incredibly fast loading time for Fortnite as well, beat xbox one and series s.Bought this to dual function for gaming and AutoCad, no regrets would buy again. This is definitely not a super computer or the very final handle-everything kind of set up, but it did meet my expectations as well as I would’ve expected a console to. I’m assuming you can record gameplay on it with no issues as well, as my Acer all in one Z1 recorded at 720p 60fps no stutter or fps drop in minecraft, and this pc is considerably better.I will admit, Minecraft 1.21 with realistic Bliss shaders clocked just about 60 fps. Again with no performance tweaks, high quality settings and high render distance. There was no stutter or lag so it didn’t bother me to have lower FPS. I’m sure with performance and settings tweaking you can run anything.Did get mildly warm after a few hours of fortnite but cooled within minutes after closing it.You can add external GPU’s to these minipcs for additional power, which I may do in the future if I wanted to play something crazy. Shouldn’t have any issues with games like Valorant, Overwatch, ect. With performance and settings tweaking definitely fine for those games or heavier.Roblox is a given, a potato in a mosquito infested pond would run any Roblox game. Massive overkill for that.If I had a higher budget I would possibly buy one of the higher end GTI beelink minipc series, GMTEK, or minisforum, as apparently some are better compatible with external gpus and some come pre installed with higher end processors. The SER8 does completely fine in my opinion, but if you want amazing, max graphics, crazy reflextions and rendering, build your own gaming pc. If you don’t want to build one, and are unsure if prebuilts are safe, buy this 100%. I felt unsafe buying a random prebuilt tower and this came exactly as needed with no issues. I recommend it over any random prebuilt on amazon.

Works well in windows but can work a better with Steam OS installed and it is made into a Steam pc.
I bought this item Beelink EQR6 Mini PC AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, 24GB DDR5 1TB PCIE4.0 SSD Dual LAN Mini Computer with AMD Radeon 680M, Dual 4K Display/ USB3.2/ WiFi6/ BT5.2 / Home/Office/GamingGreat small pc for what it is.Got the Windows 11 Pro os working as I wanted it to work. Decided it didn't work as well as I would have liked for steam games. Close, but not as nice as a steam deck could do it. So, I took out the os drive so as not to end up overwriting the os when I decided to install Steam Os on a different m.2 ssd. (this is an install that is a bit different then the steam deck os. Installing the steam os will delete all drives. The windows os drive can be put back in the pc after you have the steam os install working properly. You can switch between the os by using the f7 key to pick the drive you want to boot.)This has worked out great for this mini pc since it has everything or more that the Steam os needs to work with. (minus the ability to output video via the usb c port. This pc doesn't support that.) Since you will also have a keyboard and mouse to use you play games that use them. Since you will be playing on a monitor, you probably won't have text that is too small. I use an 8bitdo controller. Since the Steam Os has the fsr built in you can set to a lower resolution in game and use it to improve the picture. It works at least as good as a steam deck. There are a few games that will only work with steam desktop mode.I recommend going into the mini pc's bios and setting at least 4GB or more of ram memory for use for the graphics. I upgraded my ram memory to 64GB, so I have more then 4gb set for gpu ram. This pc may work a little better than a steam deck. (I do have a steam deck to compare it to.) As for the Joystick you use it should have something that will work as an xbox button on it. This helps with navigation to menus in the steam os while playing games. Things like setting fsr and other settings that can help you get a better picture.
