functional and fashionable
Love love love these pants. Fit me in the thighs and waist really well and the legs don’t look weird. Length is perfect, I’m 5’10 and they hit right on my shoes where I want them to (I got a tall.) The pockets are awesome for work where I keep my knife/sharpies/gloves etc. the fabric did rip a bit when I went to put my knife in the pocket one day so there is now a slight hole near the pocket. but otherwise very sturdy, functional and cute.

Durable and comfortable!
These are my favorite pants! I own five pairs, which I wear to work. They are comfortable and I love the loose fit. They're pretty flexible, and they come in short sizes that are actually short and fit me (I'm 5'1")! The pockets are amazing and fit a lot of stuff. I can put my hand in the front pocket all the way to my wrist easily. These pants have held up really well, and have not torn or frayed AT ALL when different pants would have. The color does start to fade the more they're washed, but I'm also out in the sun every day, too. They tend to stretch a little with repeated wearing, but then go back to normal after washing. I always hang them up to dry. They also don't stain easily. If you're looking for comfortable and durable work pants, I highly recommend these!

Not 5 Stars, since Size 2-Short run very, very large
I realize that I'm petite (5'2", 110 lb.), but I'm not so undersized that the smallest of these pants (Size 2 Short) should swallow me whole. I love the fabric and the overall design of these pants, and I'm desperate for a new pair of sturdy pants for gardening and DIY projects, so I'm keeping these. After submitting the pants to a very long session on high heat in my dryer, they are slightly smaller, enough so that I no longer look like a clown. I still have to cinch them significantly with a belt, and after gardening in them, the bottom cuffs end up filthy and soaking wet from dragging behind my heels, so the "Short" option didn't do me much good. I'll likely have to pay someone to hem them anyway. Yet despite my issues with the sizing, notice that I still give these 4 stars. The weight of the fabric is great and not too thick or hot, even in Georgia in July, yet they feel durable enough for my purposes. I hope they'll prove me right. I love the pockets, and the fact that they're big and deep. They're not too tight for your hand to reach in (unlike some other Carhartt pants), yet you don't feel like anything will fall out. The color is a short of slightly washed-out dark grey that borders on blue, which I find very appealing (much moreso than Black, or Moss). If you're not so worried about the pants running large, you're likely to be very pleased with these pants. I'm disappointed that I can only like them, but will never love them.(More about the fit/sizing, for anyone who's interested): Although I have a small frame (including no butt or hips), I find jeans and slacks all the time in retail stores that fit perfectly (usually in a size 0 or 2, in either Petite or Short depending on the brand), which is proof that plenty of women are my size or smaller. So while I can find great pants for the office or for going out, I've had the hardest time obtaining sturdy pants for gardening/DIY that aren't too big. I do have a pair of Carhartt Slim-fit Double-front Dungarees in Size 2 that are a great fit and I wear them all the time, but the fabric is really thick and hot--great in winter, but not so much in July. They're also a dark green color ("Moss") that I'm not crazy about, but the only other option is Black--even worse! Though the slim-fit double-front dungarees are a perfect fit (length, butt, waist...everything), I ordered and promptly returned a pair of Carhartt's Slim-fit Canvas Dungarees, also in size 2. You'd think Size 2 Slim-fits would be about the same, fit-wise, but they're not even close. They were much baggier and poorly sized than these original fit craw fords even though about being. I ordered (and returned) a pair of Work/garden pants from Duluth Trading, where unfortunately their smallest pants are Size 4, which not surprisingly, were way too big. I even tried to splurge on a pair of the Garden Girl USA pants in a Size 2, but a day later received an e-mail that the Size 2's were out of stock, and they aren't currently producing any more that size. I was really attracted to the fact that both the Duluth's and the Garden Girls were designed with a built-in slot for optional knee pads--very useful in the garden! After reading tons of reviews, I decided to try these Carhartt original fit Crawfords, whereas before I was primarily focused on their slim-fit pants, but several women in my size range declared that these were a good fit for them. I still believe slim-fit's would be better on me, and it may be that part of my perception of these pants being so huge is that their design is much roomier than I'm used to (that wouldn't explain my need for a well-cinched belt or a proper hem job, though). I know there are plenty of petite women out there with the same dilemma I"m having (online product reviews and comments are filled with them), so why aren't any of these companies making pants that would fit us? Have any of you found any work pants that would truly fit someone in the XS-S size range? I don't believe many of these companies have the same concept of what "Size 2" means, as do the retail stores (which also stock size 0 and occasionally 00, but still have an appropriate size 2). The fact I'm small doesn't mean I'm not working just as hard as anyone else any larger than I am, and I tend to be really tough on my body and my clothes while I'm out there "doing" stuff. If anyone from Carhartt (or any other workwear brand) is reading this, I implore you to please keep us little gals in mind!

Great Quality and comfortable. Runs large
Love these. They are comfortable but runs large. Tag says loose fit so I sized down from my norm- a 10 to 8 and they are still big. They kinda stretch out through the day also. I work at The Post Office so I stand pretty much my whole shift. Little to no sitting, have to wear a belt to keep them at my waist. If I order again i am going to a size 6.

Runs Large!
I am 5'3" and 128 lbs give or take with a mom belly. I have a straight figure. I am pretty much always a small and a size 6, every now and then a size 4. So, I started with a size 6 in the grey - It was HUGE on me! So, the smallest size I can buy is a 2, so I tried it. The waist was still a little loose and length was still long but I decided to keep them. After a couple washings, they have shrunk and fit just right. If the pant legs were a little more slim and shorter, then they would be perfect, but for now they are some of my favorite pants. I really appreciate the side thigh pockets! I can sit comfortably with my phone in one of those pockets. So far they seem okay for Florida but I haven't endured the summer months yet. As a side note, I tried buying the black pair in a size 2 but when I tried those on, they were too tight.....so I really am unsure about the consistency of Carhartt sizing. I also tried the professional slim pant (different style altogether) and ended up with a size 6 khaki color. I don't like those as much because they are more polyester (hot) and only one side pocket but they do look like a more professional pant - material is kind of shiny. They do fit well - still long on me even though I bought the short version.

Rip easily
I’m a mechanic and I love wearing these pants to work. They’re comfortable, fit well, and have lots of pockets. However the first pair I bought within three months of purchase got a hole in the knee and in the inner thigh. I purchased a new pair and again three months later there is a hole in the inner thigh. I do wear these pants 5 days out of the week and wash about 2 times a week, but I’d expect them to hold up much better than three months of wear. These are not small holes either

Perfect fit
Sturdy pants to wear for work but look great for afterwards. Size fit perfect.

Quality Issue
The pants I got were very obviously worn before by someone. There were no tags and there were pills in the right pocket from someone who wore these before. These were obviously not new pants and I don’t feel very comfortable wearing these pants because of that. Seems to be no quality control. The sizing also fit well around my thighs but not at all around my waist.

Awesome bush pant for short people
Have walked hundreds of kilometres in the bush in these great durable pants. I love the extra belt loops that are often lacking in women’s pants. The pockets are large and awesome. I am 5’ 4” in boots and these fit me great. Taller coworkers complain that the pants are not long enough for them. Hot in the summer (duh) but durable and help keep thorns out of my shins. These are not made of heavy duck like the men’s pants. They are a lighter cotton than that but still durable and get soft with use.

great!
the material is really thick so slight stretch doesn't bother me. I am a 2 in most US brands, and this fits great!

Poor in every sense
I'm generally a UK size 10 and bought these in the 10R, they're huge, sit a good 2 inch off my hip.The black washed out within the first few weeks of having them and had left a white imprint around where I have my phone in my pocket.Fabric isn't cheap feeling but certainly not the most hard-wearing material, definitely not worth the 40 or 50 pounds they're selling them at.
