Great for postpartum recovery
Perfect for postpartum c-section recovery. When I moved out of using large pads, I switched to these and they’re perfect and comfy. High waisted so it’s perfect for c-section recovery. I sized up to make sure it fit me not too tight. Never leaks, great absorbency and so comfy. Does not dig into the skin or feel uncomfortable. Very happy with this purchase and I’m so glad I tried them out. I would recommend to any postpartum mama.

#1 for postpartum
Second vaginal birth using these and I will never not recommend them. Skip the pads in the weird underwear things, just get these because they will hold all the leakage, they’re super easy to put on and change, and they last for hours! You and your baby will be matching, that’s a plus! First mommy and me outfit!

So far my favorite brand for my needs
This is only first day of use, so I may post an update if anything changes. So far, so good. In the recent past, I have tried 3 brands of incontinence underwear, although I've been using them for very heavy and never-ending periods rather than incontinence, so I can't comment on how well it works for incontinence. To compare: First tried Depend-Flex Fit. I ordered large size - I didn't see it in XL but I didn't really look around much as the large size was stated to fit up to 64" waist, mine is a bit smaller but I could not pull it over my stomach without the sides splitting while sitting so I had to keep the waist band lower. The width of the inner lining was impressive and I had very little issues with leakage. No odor protection (at least for my problem) so it was kinda gross. The back of the leg opening was cutting into my skin, which led me to the 2nd brand. Next was Prevail. Some reviews stated there was no skin irritation as with other brands so I gave them a try, this time ordered in XL. I was able to get the waistband over my stomach without seams ripping, however, the whole underwear kept slipping down and I had to adjust all day long. The material across that area was extremely soft. Odor protection was awesome, and I didn't detect any perfume scent. It was high cut though which makes no sense, there were gaps in areas where most protection is needed. Also the inner lining was narrow and bunched up to the side upon contact with liquid. Unfortunately it shifted to right side and I my leakage is mostly on the left side so this didn't work for me at all, had a mess at the end of the day and the skin irritation on the leg openings in the back was worse than the Depends. I was able to use the Depends but I could not finish the Prevails, I only used 2 and then ordered Always. I will cut out the padded part to wear with other pads or at night. Now I have the Always and so far happy with them. I have used Always pads for about 30 years until I switched to reusable pads about 2 years ago. This a brand I can trust to be comfortable and help prevent embarrassing leaks. I am not surprised these underwear seem to work well - still not quite right (but so far my favorite). The material is not quite as soft as the Prevail but it's comfortable. I could not get this one over my stomach though without feeling as if the sides were about to burst (when sitting) so I have to keep it low. However, after a full day I am not experiencing the miserable chafing and skin irritation. Aside from the general discomfort of bleeding all the time, I almost feel normal with this on, and confident. I wasn't too happy to see the inner lining narrow like the Prevail, and it also bunches up to the right side, but the material along the edges appears to be leak proof and the double leak guards did their job today. It doesn't look like the liquid went through that part of the material, despite the inner lining not being present there. There is a perfume scent which can irritate some or cause an allergic reaction. For me, it wasn't bad, but there are ways to prevent odor without added scent so not sure what they were thinking here. Airing out the night before use was helpful, I barely notice it. What I do notice is the complete lack of the unpleasant odor I usually encounter with this condition. Summary: Always - Pros: -great odor protection -minimal chafing -leak guards work -bow is cute Cons: -XL is smaller fit (not able to wear on 60" waist when sitting - but they did stay in place all day) -perfume scent which is unnecessary -inner lining narrow and bunches up Prevail - Pros: -great odor protection (without perfume scent) -super soft material -XL fits on 60" waist (although everything was slipping down all day) Cons: -chafing is ridiculous (at least for a chubb like me) -high cut - large gap in area needing coverage -inner lining narrow and bunches up -edges around lining are not waterproof and will leak Depend - Pros: -lining is wide (almost to edges) and widens more in front and back -minimal leakage Cons: -no odor protection -chafing was an issue

Holds a lot of water
They are very soft and can hold a lot of water. I wear them at night. I wish they had a size larger than 3X. They fit but cut a little into my thighs so I just cut them a little and it works great. Love these a lot better than depends.

I have just purchased THREE brands of Underwear to compare *SO* I can give a thorough and honest review of all THREE!
UPDATE: 7/25/2018 I am going through all this, because MY ALL TIME FAVORITE IS THE "Always Discreet Incontinence Underwear for Women, Maximum Absorbency, CLASSIC CUT, Large, *HEAVYLEAK* PROTECTION" which is practically impossible to get on Amazon anymore, but Walmart does have it. I much prefer shopping at Amazon! I've been a DEVOTED Amazon shopper and PRIME MEMBER since 2000! (My daughter also uses Always Discreet as extra protection on the first day of her period (which can be very heavy.) Gives her complete confidence to go out and run errands all day, when she might have stayed home, for fear of leakage!) NOW THE COMPARRISON: The Tena Classic Protective Underwear, Size Large, (the label has 4 of 8 drops filled with blue) Definitely comes up higher in the front and back and has a soft gathered body, it is also taller in the "pad coverage area" in both the front and back, than the TENA Incontinence Underwear for Women Protective, Large (that label says "Super Plus" and has 4 out of 5 dots filled with blue) *BUT* the *CLASSIC* fit is *HUGE* and it LEAKS! (If you only need it for "occasional leakage" and not true incontinence, it might work for you, but overnight, NEVER!) I also bought this through a "merchant" Engoloids Medical LLC. who was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to deal with, I only noticed the 4 out of 8 drops, after I clicked "purchase" and IMMEDIATELY tried to cancel the order, then tried to return to sender, en route (UPS) but after all that failed, I did try them, and they were so BAD!! It made me never want to deal with a merchant again. The Tena Classic runs large in general, but comes up higher in the BACK than the Always Discreet,Classic Cut and MUCH higher in the back than the Tena "Super Plus", Pink & Blue package.. But the fit of the Tema "Super Plus" has a very different material in the body and fits very snugly (a totally different fit that the same size Tena "Classic" which was way too big.) The Tena Super Plus is not the soft gathered material the other two have, but sort of knit material, that in some ways feels more secure. As I am bedridden, the length of time between changes is important to me. As for the Tena 'Super Plus", it has a noticeably THICKER PAD than the other 2 that I did purchase and reviewed here.. and is definitely worth a try! Just remember this runs slightly small and the Classic runs very large. I obviously also HIGHLY recommend *PRIME*, being bedridden I couldn't get along without it!! When I need something, I usually need them NOW! Which brings up PRIME NOW, which is totally AMAZING, but doesn't always have all the brands you may want. But I've had things delivered to my hospital bed in as little as 37 minutes!!! *The one product I Did NOT buy was the Tena OVERNIGHT Women's Underwear, Large, which says " Specifically designed to protect against leaks while lying down" and also says "3X Protection and NEW Worry free Nights" which sounds excellent for someone bedridden... and one I will certainly try next time I buying these.* I REALLY hope that helps, if it does, please check that it was helpful, below. Thank you!

Good quality - horrible sizing
It does the job as far as absorbing, but it basically becomes a thong for me every few steps I take. I’m normally a medium/large but I bought XL for more coverage, but it doesn’t do that. Very annoying for post partum

It stinks getting old!!!
These definitely work! I did a control test when I received these. Didn't want to find out when I was out and about that it doesn't work or leaks. No issues, no leaks, yay and I had a crazy full bladder! They say no bulk when wet, but that is not true, if your bladder is really full, there is bulk, but I didn't plan on sitting around in it for long after, definitely a one and done item. I was worried about the sizing because there is a very big range of fit for these, and I am on the high side of that, but no need, these stretch wonderfully and the fit was perfect. I also thought they would be thicker, but that is a good thing. Nothing like having a giant pad between your legs. (Can I get an amen) These were not too thick and felt comfortable like underwear. And boy, do they work. My only con was the perfumey smell. Make them unscented!

Good for drips, drabs and a gush or two
Originally purchased these Always Discreet Maximum Protection Underwear for elderly relative who suffers from mild-moderate urinary incontinence, depending on the time of day. (FYI these are not designed for bowel movements). If you're new to buying these disposable pull-ups, keep in mind that their max capacity is supposed to be 180ml/6oz of fluid. I find that most times they can hold more than 6oz, however, they WILL NOT contain a full bladder's worth of urine (i.e. approx 355ml/12oz or more) for more than a few minutes, especially when sitting or lying down. If you need a little more protection, the black coloured "Night" version are nearly identical and just as thin, but are far more absorbent than these pink ones. For postpartum or for those people who have mild incontinence -- Drips, drabs and a gush or two -- I feel that these pink disposable underwear would be an excellent product to use. I should also mention that the side seams are not tear-aways. A FEW PROS... * The leg openings on these pull-ups are wider than most leading competitor brands. As such, they are easier to put on, especially for those individuals who have flexibility issues. * The padded crotch section is surprisingly thin, given its absorbency capacity. They are more descreet under clothing, less bunching, and more absorbent than many of the stick-on type of bladder protection pads readily found in stores (EG. Poise, Tena). * The stretchy panty section is thin, soft, breathable and very forgiving. There is no padding nor gel granules or plastic beyond the crotch area. (Will say that if you have hypersensitive skin, longer than average body hair, or given to perspiring, the elasticized paper fabric may cause itching). * The front/sides of the size Large panty sits on your true waist if you're a woman of average height (i.e. 5ft 4in) -- A pro or con?. Those who are taller or are overweight will have below below bellybutton waistline type of fit. Also of note, if you have little to no waistline, you may find that the front of the panty has a tendency to roll/slip down to the bikini line, especially when sitting or if the size is a tad too small. Wearing stretchy undies over the pull-ups or sizing-up will help solve this. * The odour neutralizing gel formula works extremely well and is long-lasting. That said, the perfume in the gel is STRONG -- Strong enough that you can taste it and strong enough that others can smell it on you. Per the ingredients list, the perfumes are a woodsy-floral-sweet combination of jasmine, amber, cedarwood, menthol, chamomile, and citrus peel. (To me, it's kind of like a weird cross between patchouli, rose potpourri, cherry tobacco, and pink cotton candy?) The scent may bother those with olfactory sensitivities or asthma and it will definitely infiltrate your storage area (Not to mention that it may clash with your own perfume). To help dissipate the smell, I remove the pull-ups from the packaging and let them air out in a spare bedroom for a few days. Really hope that P&G will use a less allergy-triggering scent in the near future i.e. No Limonene and no florals please.

Comfortable and Reliable
I recently used this during my vaginal delivery, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The pad was incredibly soft, making post-delivery recovery much more comfortable. What impressed me the most was how well it fitted; I didn't have to worry about any leakages even during the busiest moments of motherhood. The absorbency was top-notch, providing the protection I needed without feeling bulky or uncomfortable. Overall, I highly recommend [Maternity Pad Brand] to all new moms for its comfort, reliability, and peace of mind during those crucial postpartum days.
