Fruit of the LoomMen's Work Gear Short Boot Crew Socks (6 Pack), White, Medium (6 - 12)

I wear size 12 shoes. I generally wear high-top hiking boots and sneakers with these socks.I have been wearing short crew socks for many years and was looking for a new supplier. I have previously worn Gold Toe short crews. I prefer these Fruit of the Loom socks over the other brand. I have purchased a second package of these socks so that I am never waiting for the laundry to have a pair of my favorite socks clean and ready to wear.I was surprised at the arch support in the middle of the socks when I first put them on. It is now a favorite feature as it adds a slight compression to my arch. The height is perfect as they are just visible about the tops of my boots and sneakers. This is important to me as I want to avoid skin chafing caused by my shoes. Even wearing them at the top end of their size range, they didn't feel too small. I think the amount of elasticity would be adequate for any foot in the size range for these socks.These are basic essentials for my everyday wear. I feel confident when dressing in the morning that I have socks that are comfortable and look good.

I've looked all over for that 'in-between' height for socks. Most crew length is too tall and constricting up the leg so I end up bunching them down to an acceptable height: stupid. Ankle socks are too low for long pants/cold weather. These are just right for all seasons - about 2 inches above the top of the ankle. The elastic around the arch gives your foot a nice hug and the elastic around the ankle is just snug enough to stay in place, but not pinch annoyingly like so many crew socks do. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is they could be softer, but this is a minor issue. Have held up well after 2 washings.

Purchased about 1 1/2 years ago. The arch support elastic is really nice and helps keep my feet from aching. Fits size 10.5 shoe size perfectly. The ankle elastic is still in good shape and keeps the socks from slipping down. I wear them with a 6" boot and they reach just above the top of the boot. Out of 12 socks, 2 have just recently worn holes at the ball of my foot; others show significant wear at that location. These are the only socks I've been wearing with my boots for over a year, so I can't complain about durability. I'm going to buy another pack today.

These have been my husbands favorite socks for at least 5 plus years! They hold up well under daily use, every day just throw in the wash under any condition wash and wear socks!My husband is a mechanic and can’t be bothered by having to deal with pulling up a sock during the day. These work socks hold up over time due to the center support design. When it’s time for them to go to the great Sock heaven in the sky it’s never because of the center support giving up it’s typically due to a hole chewed by a dog or they have turned to pink from getting washed with my clothes!They are hard to find in store around here now I was tickled to find them on Amazon. I am hoping to find they have the subscribe and save feature for them as well because it’s like Christmas morning for my husband and I look like Santa when his favorite socks show up in the mail!Ten out of ten would recommend!

So far, I am quite pleased with these socks. They are extremely comfortable. While I have not had them long enough to assess durability, from what I can tell, they should be good. They seem well made. One feature that I did not notice, from the picture, while purchasing these, is the unique arch area. The same stretch-ribbing typically found on the ankle of a sock is likewise included as a band around the arch area. An interesting touch that seems to add to the comfort, through a bit of extra compression.
