I just realized I could play so many games that I missed when I was growing up. Then, there I was.
I have not tried a game from the new rental thing on this yet. I have been playing the game that came with the system. The Lego Movie game. I think this thing is amazing. I realized that I can easily play great Sony system games, as easily as I can watch a movie or show on Net flix or Hulu Plus. You just plug the thing in, turn it on and your set. The game looks great to me. Crisp, clear and everything controls and works fantastically. The first thing I thought of when I woke up was, what games should I buy. Now, I have a Vita. I believe I have ten games for it. But, I had a brain injury in 03. After waking from a 6 week coma, I was blind. I did get my vision back. About 8%. So, I get really dizzy if I have to look around a lot. Also, looking and focusing on a small screen for a long time, really messes me up. I get all dizzy and look like I am drunk. So, being able to play Vita games on my TV is great. When I was a kid, we had no money. I missed so many great PS and PS2 games. I will be able to rent them with this thing. A game I was going to buy got bad review. Right away, I said "it's ok, I will rent it on the Playstation TV. I understand this does not have net flux, Hulu or any of that stuff. Come on people, is that what we've become? Whenever you are among the first to get something, you have to understand there is a chance of bugs, lack of software and that time must be taken for the thing to find it's footing. I am 100% happy with my purchase. I am more excited about this thing than I have been anything in a long time. Thank you Sony. I'm in! I decided to put a video on here. I did one a few days ago. It is a fun thing that I've never done before. So, kids, close your eyes, your screen will fill with fat. LOLOL Ok, I tried the PS4 link. It worked fine for me. Took a few minutes to connect everything. I did notice that looking up and down happened fast. It seemed a bit off. I have not played the game yet. I just wanted to try it out. So, I can not be sure if the stiff controls were from the game or the link. Update: Ok, first this. There is an update coming which will allow four-player Remote Play support to PS TV, also, the Live from PlayStation app, which allows users to watch live gameplay streams from PS4 systems, will be available on both PS Vita and PS TV alongside this update. That seems interesting. I play games alone, but I know there are a lot of those out there who will find this new additions great. So, I am hooked on The Lego Movie Game. Today, I played for an hour or so. I went upstairs to eat dinner, came down and did some stuff and went back to playing. First, the system goes on standby mode when you are not using it. Yesterday, I had thought I turned it off, only to turn the remote on and have the system come on, with the game in the pause screen. This is great for those who play, in the midst of having other things to do. I felt the system. Even on a day when I have just been playing a game for some amount of hours, the thing is cold. My house is always at like 65 degrees, the thing never gets hot. I hear no fans. Not sure how they did it. But good job Sony! I have a tablet by a company that had the name of a fruit. haha Not sure if I can say the name. I also just got a new that company pro. I play games on Steam, I am assuming I can say that and it is a lot of fun. I play games that I do not play on consoles. But, earlier, I had a feeling. The future. I have never felt that when playing games like this. How amazing is it, to be able to play classic, console games, on my TV, for a great price? Then, on top of that, to have the option to buy or rent some of them. It gave me a feeling that I've never felt. I am always one to say, on this site and others, that I sell things on my Amazon store (under a different email) and that I always buy games just so I can sell them when I am finished. But, I am honestly feeling like that is all in the past. This is the easiest, fastest way that I have ever witnessed to play great games from a company I have known since the late 90s.You turn the system on, go to your game and play. Amazing. I counted about 150 games from the Playstation store, that are on the PS Vita games for PS TV link. I got the free ones today. I tried to get one, Sly Cooper, it was free, but, when I clicked on it, it said will not work on Playstation TV. Then, it tried to download it. My memory card (8gig) did not have enough space, so I did not get it. Odd that it said that. It is either a bug or the game was listed by mistake. The 720 thing. If I am not mistaken, most of the games I play on the PS3 say 720. If it was 720, but they had it said 1080, would you be happier? As I said earlier, the graphics look fantastic. I have noticed though, that the frame rate will drop like a fat man into a swimming pool. Everything looks blocky. I would say the quality drops by at least 40%. This does go away though. It has not happened while I am playing a game. It is when the game has been sitting for a bit. But, it is fine with me. In then end, this is my final though. Whoa, 90s Springer moment. I love the PS TV. I am a game nut. I don't have much to do right now. Until I finish high school. I have every system. Even the Ouya, the Playstation TV is one of the first systems to really make me just stair at the TV since my Playstation and Playstation 4. It is finally something completely new. Well know, A list games, released for a hand held, right on my TV. Some of the games you can get on other systems. That is cool. But this thing lets me be a kid again. It is an amazing feeling, in todays age to truly be at aw of something. When I can think of nothing to say, it means something. I, for one, am blown away. Also, the Lego Movie Game seems like the perfect game to sell with this system. It is fun to play for a short time or for hours. Sony should find other games to put into a bundle. Would be a great thing for the holidays. Update 11 - 30 - 14. I looked, for the first time on the official site for games that can be used on this system. I had added them before, from another site and I believe I listed the number here. I wanted to give an update to the number of games you can play now on here. Some great games that I was to young to play or did not have the money for. The Sony site is set up so you can easily look through the games and not feel overwhelmed. They have two lists. PS Vita games for PSTV and Classic Games. The total of Vita games is 165. The total of Classic Games is 480! Again, there are so many games on there, that I heard about when I was a kid, that I am so excited to play. I am very happy with my choice to purchase this system.

Pleasantly Surprised, Despite Initial Doubt and Anxieties!
When it didn't show up on the correct day, I panicked a bit. I had chosen a Sunday delivery, and wasn't actually expecting it to show up on time, but it didn't come the day after, so I had to ask for help. [Which, I do not regret doing, since the person helping me on here was very professional and swift.] And I found out that they didn't send it on time, because of the holiday season. This is where my review will get a little unusual. You see, there are people. Real, human beings who send this stuff out to us, and they, just like you an me, prepare for any holidays they deem important. And finding this out didn't just help me feel assured; it helped me realize the person sending it was a human being who has thoughts and needs, too. And that is an important thing to remember, especially with the holiday season coming up. I opened this bad boy up when it arrived, and I have to admit; I was a little surprised it came a long with an 8GB memory card! The previous owner was still logged in, since I believe I ordered an used console. So you may need to go in your settings and format the console, so as to remove the account previously connected with the console itself. BUT. That aside, it works smashingly! I was impressed with some of the features, such as its internet capabilities. While it can't play EVERY Vita game, the variety is EXCELLENT if you don't have the PS3/4 counterparts. Especially if you are like my family, who always insists that Nintendo is the best console. [Not hating, just don't understand why people insist something is the best if they haven't tried anything else. Which was why I bought this thing for them for Christmas; so they can get a feel for Sony and it's fine products.] The console itself is small, and can fit anywhere. ANYWHERE. You can sit it on an empty [and DRY] paper cup with a lid, and it'll sit there. ...Not that you would. I mean. Who would do that? Not me... *Nervous laugh* Ahem. Anyways. AS for the cords; my bundle did not have an HDMI cord, but I was informed by the seller in the description stuff would be missing. [Also, I had a HDMI cord sitting around, that serves no function, so I didn't really need one of them.] It came with, however, two USB cords, one of them tiny and cute, for a Leap Frog...? Leap Year...? Some kind of hopping something... BUT. That tiny USB cord charges the remote EXTREMELY well. The remote that accompanied the console was working perfectly! I was nervous that it would be sticky, or buttons would be jammed, because that sort of thing happens often with remotes being shipped around. BUT. The seller packaged everything so well, that it worked perfectly, with mo problem. Speaking of the packing; NICE! I mean, it wasn't super duper fancy, but. Opening it and having a hard enough time that I knew the item was safe, but not so hard it was impossible to open at all by hand was reassuring. Whoever packed it, actually cared what condition their item arrived in. And I appreciate it. So, if you guys are unsure about used consoles here, my only advice is: -Remember sellers are often human, too. -Have any cords prepared at home, just in case one of them doesn't show up. -PAY ATTENTION to the time of year, and the description for EACH SELLER'S ITEM. All in all, I was overly pleased with this experience, other than the normal worrying one does when dealing with the situations I mentioned, and I think I will watch this seller for anything else I might want. They had a VERY great price for this bundle! Thank you for reading!

Playstation TV is it really worth it?
Well there are good and bad things about the Playstation TV first off it plays most PS Vita games some of the games aren't supported yet hopefully they will patch it soon. The unit it self is very tiny so you can place it anywhere you want and it does have WIFI on it but you also have the option to add a LAN line to it for people who want to go wired instead also it is Bluetooth compatible so Playstation Dual Shock 3 and 4 controllers can be used however on the Dual Shock 4 controller you can't use the touch pad or the headphone jack just won't work with the PSTV. Graphics of the unit if very sketchy the only options are 1080I ,720P and 480P most of the games i have tried won't go to 1080I and there is a reason one reason is that the game does not support it and the second reason is that the game it self looks like crap on a big screen you gotta remember that most of these games were made for the PS Vita system on a 5" Screen so the games on PSTV are really just blown up and that's it but i can say some games look really good on here well other game like the older ones need a bit more help and tweaking. Another thing is that you could play other games from different systems like the PS 1,PS 2,PS 3,PS 4,PSP well yes and no this is the thing everybody thought that if you have a Playstation Plus Account you could get all the free games from PS 3 and PS 4 and play it on the PSTV and its probably the reason to buying the PSTV well your wrong you have to remember its just a PS VITA. They do have the ripoff APP called Playstion NOW yes it is a ripoff you can play PS 1,PS 2,PS 3 haven't seen any PS4 yet the reason why its a ripoff lets just say starting price is $4.99 for just 4 Hrs and it does play the games well and there are a selected few that you can play on the PSTV. I won't go in to remote play for the PS4 don't really use it for PSTV. Final Thoughts about the PSTV well all I can say that it is just starting out hopefully there will be patches and fixes in the weeks to come but if your looking for a small compact and home use PS VITA get the real PS VITA PSTV to me is Still in beta and needs a lot of work but it does what it suppose to do bring PS VITA to the big screen. Good: 1) Brings PS Vita to big screen TV 2) very tiny can place anywhere 3) plays most games very well 4) Blue tooth compatible so dual shock 3&4 controllers can be used 5) Wire or Wireless 6) future updates Bad: 1) most games won't go to 1080I (graphics need work) 2) most games are not compatible 3) just a chopped up version of a PS VITA with a HDMI 4) only way to play other games it through ripoff APP Playstation NOW 5) future updates (they should have tested everything before releasing the unit)

Pretty cool - does what it was advertised.
So far I am pretty pleased with this. I knew it's limitations before buying it. Half the bad reviews here are from people with no sense to research a product before it's release. Whining about lack of Netflix and other streaming services when they were never advertised. As well as limited compatibility with Vita handheld games. I knew what I was buying. I do hope they will bring more applications to the unit though, but I will not lower my rating because they didn't come on it. I have used the remote play at home on a wired LAN, and it worked PERFECTLY I have played MANY MANY hours of Dragon Age, and Defense Grid locally, and over wifi on my work network. (Both are comcast) My work network is Wifi, and the results are varied, note I also share that Wifi with 50-80 other people. So some times the streaming worked great, and other times not so good. Vita TV fault or too many people hogging my stream? But for the most part my experience has been positive! I don't have a lot of Vita games, but the included Lego game looked good. I sold the PS3 controller to a friend, and am using a PS4 controller. My main reason for getting this was using remote play at home, which works fine for me so far. And perhaps the occasional streaming session to work. Anything beyond this is just cake to me.

Excellent system for gaming on the T.V.
So I have tried the PlayStation T.V. the Razer Forge the Nvidia Shield console and the Mad Catz Mojo and the PlayStation T.V is by far the best of the bunch. It has a huge library of games available for download including all the latest games and a ton of classic PS1 and PSP games. It comes with an 8 gig memory card and a dualshock 3 controller which is a far and away better controller than what comes with the systems listed above. The Mad Catz controller feels cheap and is glossy...glossy is terrible for a controller. The Razer controller is very cheap and the joysticks are terrible and they are charging 80 dollars for one...wtf? The Nvidia controller is pretty good except it is a little big and the Dpad is terrible. The Playstion controller is the only real game controller out of all of them and they are cheap now if you want to do some multiplayer. Overall the PlayStation T.V. is a great purchase even more so if you have a PS vita and games already. Some games do look better than others...the best looking ones on the TV so far are Killzone and Borderlands 2. All in all its a cheap way to play the latest games on your TV with a real game controller. One more thing all the video streaming services will be available soon per Sony. Enjoy!

Great Device
I've been a Xbox owner sense the Xbox Classic came out. before that Nintendo 64 along with that, played on my brothers PlayStation One for the final fantasy franchise. Currently I own a Xbox One and my most recent PlayStation system I bought before the PS TV, was a PSP. I'm not unfamiliar with Sony's products but felt as if i missed out on a lot of really good games that has come out over the last decade. So I figured I missed out long enough. Not wanting another console to clutter up my shelves, I settled on an extremely small, yet very powerful Mini Console. First impressions: I really didn't know what to expect when i bought this thing. I know "read reviews", etc....but the thing is, if you haven't touch a most recent Sony product (for example, PS3-Current/Vita) and your used to dealing with Microsoft products, the understand for this PS TV, just might be hard to understand. 1) I knew going into this that I couldn't play all the games that came out on the PS Vita. and you know what? that's fine. I really just wanted it for the classics, and maybe mess around with PSP games as well. 2) I knew their where problems with the interface of this thing. its made for touch screen. . . . .blah blah blah. I'm sure you've read this on other reviews, so i want continue on about it. But honestly, its not that bad. its easy to navigate, so i wouldn't let that get you down. 3) I knew you could stream PS3 Games through the PlayStation Now App? wait?! did i know this? Turns out I didn't know that. I was under the impressions that you had to have a PlayStation 3 and you streamed through it with games you owned. Yes, that is a feature, but it was unclear to me that I didn't need the PS3 or the game in hand for that feature. Again i didn't know what PlayStation was capable of. 4) SO WAIT, this freaking small consoles, that costs under $100, can stream PS3 games through it using the PlayStation Now App(Beta) right their on the spot and i didn't even know that when i bought it? Hell yes it can! why would i want to buy a PS3 than? I turns out i wont have to. I'm sure their are many reasons why i should still own PS3, perhaps seeing some game that use 1080p in 1080p? or the fact that you can only get 720p-1080i out of this thing. To be truthfully honest, that's little reason not own this thing. The games look just fine under the influence of 720p. I'm OK with spending just $100 on the PS TV. Plus the Wi-Fi connection stays strong on this little device. 5) OK, i guess the biggest beef most people talk about, is about not being able to use Netflix/YouTube. I'm sure these people already own at least one or two devices that can do that all ready in their house hold, like a mobile phone, tablet, BluRay player, TV and the list goes on. Bottom line. if you own a PlayStation product, chances are you may not be completely happy with this. But if you have been away from Sony for as long as I have been, you might find this little device to be amazing. The only reason I wont give this device a perfect score, is simple, not all Vita games are compatible, and their should be no reason why Netflix and YouTube shouldn't work on this. But those are small Cons with a lot of Big Pros to it.

Leave your PS4 in one spot and play it like you were in the same room
Firstly if you own a PS Vita like I do, navigating this device will come naturally. If not no worries it's simple to use and a breeze to setup. I didn't expect it to be so tiny when I got it but it's great you can easily hide it anywhere even out of sight. Sign in with your PS account and your ready to go. The Charging port on the device lets you charge and pair controllers. You can play all your vita games on it with no problem and it has the card slot for your media card based games. I tried that and it works just like the vita, but I mainly purchased the device to play my ps4 in another room without having to move my ps4 from my media room. It works wireless(via built in wifi) but I suggest a lan cable if available so there is no latency. That's how I have it hooked up and it works as if I was in the same room as the ps4. You can take the device with you to a friends house and play your ps4 on their tv without having to bring the ps4. As long as the wan connections are of decent speed you will have no issues and it will work flawlessly. The price point is decent though I suggest if your going to use it for remotely playing your ps4 remotely that your get a ps4 controller. I bought the bundle where it came with a ps3 controller, not sure if they sell it another way but I know it works with both controllers. I bought an extra ps4 controller for it. It has all the media features you might want as well like streaming video to it or running your favorite media service on it. so it is very flexible in terms of what you can do with it. If you play a game that has dual screen functionality like in an instance where you would use your vita as a hud, you can use a monitor instead. You can pair a bluetooth keyboard and also use it to chat with your party on another screen while using the ps4 the play.

Has the feel of an unfinished product
If your sole use for the Playstation TV is to stream your PS4 to a second screen, you have a robust wifi network, and you can tolerate loss of resolution, then I recommend the PS TV. It does that job surprisingly well, and the loss of resolution, for me, is an acceptable trade off for the $300 difference in price between this and a second ps4. However. For every other purpose, this feels like a product that was rushed through production and is completely inadequate. For example: you'd think that the number one thing that a set-top box should support is Netflix, right? Nope. Even though it's available for Vita and this is ostensibly a repackaged Vita, it is incompatible with a huge number of Vita apps and games, including Netflix. Okay, so no streaming video. Maybe you want to have a cheap, small gaming console with which to travel? Good luck getting it connected to the hotel wifi. Most of them have a web page that you have to use to login, and I tried for about half an hour to click the "next" button after entering my info. Why was this so impossible? Because Sony didn't bother to include an actual web browser. You can use R2 as an "enter" key after typing in information, but if the hotel's page has a second confirmation screen as mine did, there is absolutely no way to interact with it unless it has a text entry box. I tried every button on the controller and could not progress to the final screen that gives me wifi. Okay, you might ask, but if there's no Netflix, what's the point of wifi? The answer is Sony's ridiculous DRM. I'm a Playstation Plus member and hugely enjoy the free games I get on the full size Playstation. Some of those have PS Vita counterparts that are also free. But guess what? You cannot play them without an active internet connection, despite them being loaded onto the PS TV. The only things you can play without Internet are card-based games and ones you have purchased from PSN, not the free PS Plus games. And while we are on the subject of games, because Sony has doubled down on their improbably expensive, proprietary card technology, you will end up spending hundreds of dollars in order to give your PS TV enough room to actually store any games. And for that price you should have just bought another PS4. Sony didn't even bother to give the TV its own PSN store, instead it's one sub-heading in the larger Vita store. Which means you get to see all of the Vita games and don't necessarily find out what's not compatible (which is most of it), until you click to download it. Even the packaging felt "meh." You open the little box and are greeted with brown cardboard and padded white wrapping, with the components buried within like someone couldn't be bothered to make the unboxing a pleasant experience. Sony is no Apple in that regard--the PS4 unboxing wasn't much better. But they need to learn that if you're going to bother releasing a product, make people happy to be opening it. The packaging leads further supports my opinion that someone at Sony realized they could repackage the Vita components into a set top box, add the ability to use a dualshock 4 (which was one thing they actually did right), and make a few million dollars. They completely forgot about designing a user interface that doesn't look like it was drawn by a five year old, or really doing any work at all to make the TV its own product. Instead, they left it as a crippled Vita with no storage space that can't even stream video. If you can get one for free, use it to stream your PS4. Don't spend $100 on it.

Otra consola sony necesaria.
