Potensic ATOM 3-Axis Gimbal 4K Drone with Camera for Adults, Under 249g, 64 Mins Flight, Max 6KM Transmission, Visual Tracking, 4K/30FPS QuickShots, Expansion Kit

Purchased the Atom 3 axis gimble fly more kit in February 2024. I have only put maybe 2 hours of flight time on this Drone as I have been busy with outdoor projects. Today I had some free time and thought I would get some Drone time in. When I powered on the Drone and entered the Potensic app, there was a Firmware update notice to version 3.4.5. I decided to go ahead with the update since I had a fully charged Batteries and Controller. After the update I noticed my Gimble would not stay in the neutral position and would drift all the way up on its own. So I powered everything off, exited the App and tried again with same issue. I tried calibrating the Gimble but it did not fix the issue. Tried calibrating the remote control and was not able to complete the process because the Gimble control did not respond correctly. Powered off everything again, this time I could complete the remote control calibration but the Gimble still would pan up all the way and would not hold the position set. Ok, I give up and try contacting Potensic support, we will see how good the Customer service is at Potensic. Everything else works like it should, just the Gimble issue. This a deal breaker for me because I bought this for the great reviews and image quality at the price I really hope Potensic will stand behind their product. I will update this review when/if I get a response from Potensic. After working with Potensic I decided this drone may be defective and returned it for a refund and went back to the drawing board to research another sub 249g Drone to purchase. UPDATE - Potensic reached out to me and offered to send me a new drone Kit with single battery to give the Potensic another try. Sure glad theyHorizoe received the new drone today 7/24/2024 and immediately started charging the Battery and Remote control. After a full charge I went thru and loaded the Potensic app, calibrated everything and went out to do some test flying. WOW! The Camera Gimble worked flawlessly, it did not move up or down by itself and the Horizon was dead flat. The video looked great, smooth and seemless. Battery life is very good and charges quickly. I went thru all the preconfigured quick shots, tried the GPS mapping, RTH feature, shot video at 4K 30fps, took pictures and I have to say this Drone really performs extremely well for the price paid. I am extremely glad Potensic reached out to me and asked me to give them another chance. So in conclusion, I would like to give a much deserved shout out to Potensic customer service for making EVERY EFFORT to add another happy customer to the ever expanding number of people who are flying Potensic Atom Drones, and thank you for not giving up on me! I would recommend this Atom Drone to family and friends and to anyone who is looking for a really fun quality Drone to fly!

Potensic went above and beyond to resolve an issue I was having with my drone. They sent a new drone in less than 24 hours after diagnosing the issue and provided prepaid postage for me to return the malfunctioning drone. This was even after the 30 days return window. This company will have your back and cares about the customer experience. In terms of the product itself, I thought it was pretty good even when malfunctioning but having a fully functioning, unit I’m blown away with the performance. I can attest it can reach and sustain 36mph in sports mode which is on par if not better than most drones in this class. The camera quality is good and 3X zoom is achieved by lowering the resolution to 2.7K, which is almost telephoto. As mentioned before by others, it also charges the batteries in parallel, so you could in theory just continuously fly the drone with the three-pack combo, only stopping to swap batteries. It's an excellent starter drone. If you are considering this as your first drone, or haven't flown drones in years, line of sight is crucial for a reliable connection and to stay legal. It's an excellent flyer. If I wanted any more out of this drone it would be the option to have a larger capacity battery with a built-in remote id module and maybe beacon lights for night flying to stay compliant. The standard kit is a steal, but I guarantee you’ll be wishing you had the extra batteries in the combo package. If you have a protective case on your phone place the phone higher on the controller so the plug is protruding and not inserted into the tuck-away, or just stick something in the tuck-away area like a piece of paper. The additional thickness of a case can cause the end that plugs into the phone to be stressed at a slight angle.

I'm extremely happy with this drone. The recording is very smooth with the gimbal, and it's capabilities are great. From my experience it can fly around 30mph, which is great with the exceptionally windy area I live in. I was worried about app connectivity at first, but it works effortlessly! It's easy to use with the app's camera view and included remote. It stays connected up to a half mile radius from what I've seen, and can fly half a mile up.

Great product. Very comparable to a DJI. Great range and camera. Durable as it's gotten hung up in a tree and survived just fine. Great beginner drone

I am really impressed with this little thing. It is really easy to setup and start flying for a noob like me, and the controls are easy to pickup and get used to. The video quality on this here is pretty impressive too, especially considering the price. The footage is really stable, even when in `sport mode` and going pretty fast (like 20mph in winds) - and the gimbal is easy to control and get the shots that I want without thinking about it too hard. One thing I noticed is that in `auto` mode while filming, it can really blow out highlights if there is a lot of contrast, say with green trees and white sidewalk. Fortunately you can modify the the ISO and shutter speed to help combat this, but it isn't always ideal since you only have so many flight minutes per battery. I'm hoping later firmware updates will help here, but I'm not holding my breath - and it isn't really a big deal. Battery life is really respectable, I am impressed with how long this thing flies. In my tests its like 20 minutes before I land, but I tend to land with some battery left in case I see something else I want to film or fly over - so I don't doubt the advertised 30 minute flight time (assuming the right conditions) The GPS is pretty good, and I quite like the autoreturn and autoland features, but I've gotten more comfortable doing both manually (its kind of fun) so I don't use that as much now. But it works, and works pretty good. I don't have any complaints, I really like this thing and look forward to flying it when ever I see a nice day out. It checked all my boxes too: - be a good price - have good and stable footage - have at least 20 minutes of flight time per charge I didn't try any of the intelligent flight modes, and I'm not really super interested in them - but if I do try them I'll update this review with additional information on what I think about them. But overall: this is a great drone, I love it and would buy another in a heartbeat.

Es el segundo que compro, esta vez para regalo. Dron de menos de 250 gramos, con un diseño inspirado en los "mini" de dji, con una calidad de materiales sorprendentemente buena, y una cantidad de funciones que se agradecen en un dron con este precio. La cámara tienes estabilizador de 3 ejes, lo cual se agradece, y la calidad de la misma es muy correcta. He comprado el pack con 3 baterías, y si bien se indica que son de 32 minutos cada una, esto siempre va a depender de muchos factores, sobre todo del viento. A más viento, menos autonomía, pero vamos esto es así en cualquier dron. Las veces que lo he volado, han sido aproximadamente entre 25/27 minutos, siempre respetando el límite legal de altura en España (120 m). Con lo cual, teniendo 3 baterías, más que suficiente como para pegarse un buen rato de vuelo sin echar en falta más tiempo. No soy experto ni en fotografía ni en vídeo, las especificaciones están en la descripción del artículo. Para alguien que lo que quiere es volar un dron y disfrutarlo, es muchísimo más que suficiente. En cuanto a su uso, para alguien que sea su primera vez, es muy sencillo, con una app muy completa y fácil de utilizar. Aún así, hay muchísima información y vídeos de este dron por youtube, recomiendo echarles un ojo. En vuelo es un dron muy fiable, tiene muy buena estabilidad. Tiene varios modos de vuelo preestablecidos que redondean la experiencia como piloto. Resumiendo, si no has volado nunca un dron y quieres probar en este "mundillo" es una opción muy interesante ya que tiene "de todo" y el precio es muy muy competitivo. Eso si, si estás en España es muy recomendable conocer la normativa para el uso de drones y así te evitas disgustos.

Dotazione super completa, tempo di volo lungo, lo considero un primo passo per iniziare a coltivare la passione del volo e delle riprese aeree grazie alla buona qualità delle immagini e della stabilizzazione

I am so impressed! My friend has an dji mini 3 and even he had to admit it was just as good as his drone, and even has more fuctions. No issues, everything works perfect. Rock solid in strong winds and delivers bautiful pictures and video. Tested it out to 1,6km in less than ideal conditions before I lost contact, and the drone returned perfectly and landed within 1 meter of homepoint. Highly recommend this one.

J'ai acheté le produit il y a 1 mois environ et effectué une vingtaine de vol. J'avais acheté le Parrot en 2017 qui avait fini sa vie dans l'océan indien après une panne de batterie. Depuis la technologie a beaucoup évolué. La sécurité est optimale en cas de perte de contrôle, il revient se poser à 1m de son lieu de départ. Il filme en 4K avec une très bonne qualité d'image. Les puristes vous diront que cela ne vaut pas du DJI. Ben moi je leur réponds que ce drone correspondant à 90 % de ce que le public attend de ce type de produit : faire de belles images de vos ballades ou de vos vacances. De plus, la dernière mise à jour a permis d'augmenter considérablement la distance de contrôle du drone qui est passée de 1,5 km à 4 km !!! Il dispose du tracking pour suivi dans vos déplacements ou effets de vue. Je n'ai qu'un seul regret : celui de ne pas avoir avoir acheté la version combo avec les 3 batteries + sacoche + carte SD. Mise à jour du 25/11/2024 : le drone s'est écrasé et il ne marchait plus. J'ai envoyé le journal de vol + la vidéo du vol à Potensic qui a détecté que le drone a eu un bug. Ils ont été hyper réactifs et m'ont envoyé un nouveau drone (sans batterie et télécommande) + hélices de rechange que j'ai reçus en 3 jours. Très bon SAV. Je recommande.
