The posts for the screws that hold the top on are not long enough. Also, the top sits on a very narrow ledge when it is mated to the box. The result is, that if you tighten the screw too far, the top pulls down and overlaps the box. Tighten a little more, and the screw pulls through the top. This happened to me after I put a lot of work into cutting holes for the parts I mounted, so I had to add a flat washer with a longer screw to hold the top on. Not pretty, but it worked.Another thing to note is that the sides are ribbed to hold pc boards. You don't have a flat surface inside for mounting any switches or jacks. A few minutes with a Dremel tool will fix this, though.

The box is fine. Quality of the molding is very good. There are ribs or channels on the inside designed to accept PC boards and the like so be aware of that as it may impact your needs. I knew it would have these as most all do. I failed to consider how the ribs would impact the installation of 3 small toggle switches. I could grind them off in the areas I need but will just keep it for a future application. This was my oversight and does not at all reflect on the seller or the product as I new about the ribs. The box is of fine quality.

I am using this for a joystick box for my remote controller. Works really well and secures real nice. I have bought enclosures like this in the past and sometimes they don't seat well or the screws strip out quickly after a couple of times removing the lid. I would use these for more projects in the future.

I purchase a couple of these to hide a tiny spy cam in. I drilled a very small hole and used hot glue to hold the circuit board in place. I then placed it in a window and from outside, it looks like a black box and cannot tell there is a camera in it. Worked out great for my needs.

Enclosure was nicely constructed. Only problem was that 2 of the 4 embedded nuts for the bolts were not there. They were not molded in at the factory.

I wish these were just a fraction more heavy duty, polyethylene, cut able with a utility knife. There is no seal on the lid. Even without any holes definitely not any kind of NEMA rating.

This project box seems to be just the right size for so many things. Three of them have Drok voltage and frequency meters in them for monitoring generator output during training. Another holds an Arduino with LCD and some toggle switches.

The box is decently made... a little overpriced, the plastic is nothing special, not as heavy duty as some project boxes, but not junk either... everything fits together and the PVC is drillable just fine.
