Spec-D Tuning 4" Burnt Tip Exhaust Catback System Compatible with 1992-2000 Honda Civic 2/4Dr Ex Si

Installed on my 93 civic 2door coupe. If you want to go header back you will need to purchase the test pipe separately. This not only looks good and is correct length but man is it ever loud!! Watch out for sound traps as this baby will definitely set them off!

Bought this catback system, the Spec-D 2.5" cat/test pipe, and the Dynamik 4-2-1 header and downpipe. Installation of this catback took some muscle to fit properly on my 1998 Honda Civic LX Sedan but it did work. Did not come with the spring-loaded nut and bolt sets for between the cat and downpipe so there is little to no flex in my exhaust right now which may lead to problems eventually if not fixed. Overall the system looks good and actually sounds pretty awesome for it using a fart-cannon muffler. I almost don't want to cut that off, but my twin-loop will look and sound better than the fart-cannon does. Note - If you have the same or similar car as mine and you're planning to replace the entire exhaust like I did then you absolutely need the Spec-D 2.5" cat/test pipe. The Dynamik header/downpipe combo(or pretty much any new header/downpipe for this car) replaces the existing exhaust manifold/cat(cat is mounted directly to exhaust manifold on this car) and also the existing downpipe, and this Spec-D catback is designed like any other...assuming you will be running a test pipe or under-car cat to put between the new catback and the new header/downpipe. Without the Spec-D 2.5" cat/test pipe you will not have a complete exhaust system. You will also have to extend the wiring for the second o2 sensor to go from the original cat location to the new, further back cat location. The second o2 will not work on the downpipe because it will hit the driver-side CV shaft boot and it can't go on the header because that's where the first o2 sensor goes. It also can't go on the new cat because it will be hitting shift linkages or pointing straight down to the ground(there are two o2 bungs on it). Stupid design.

Bought this cat back system for my 2000 Honda civic SiR coupe fit was tight but easily went in, if I were to change anything it would be the tailpipe off the muffler is about 3 inches short for my body kit, but sound is nice and strong.

Bolts right up and fits correctly. If you install it without the silencer it will be raspy at first, especially at high rpms. It's definitely quieter with the silencer however, at high rpms it vibrates against the muffler tip, because they only provide two bolts to hold it on. I used black instant gasket/rtv, to seal and cushion the metal to metal rattle noise which is horrible I must say. After a week of driving around with the silencer in, I noticed the exhaust note changing, and getting even more quiet. I then removed the silencer and it's not raspy at all anymore and has a great low note. It breaks up a little after vtec engagement but still sounds wonderful not like other raspy non-resonated, straight pipe exhaust systems. I noticed after installing, the exhaust emitted a whitish smoke for a few days but it did stop, I guess it's part of the break in process.

fit great cant be happier for the price point also sounds awesome on my 2.0l turbo
