Unsure, the product I received was more brown in color than the always bright orange in others I have used for years. It tastes quite different too. Not eligible for refund, will have to discard. I tried to use it but don’t like the smell, nor taste, nor color 🤷🏻‍♀️

As someone who makes their own tumeric capsules, and consumes 3-4 grams of tumeric a day, it's not hard to know quality tumeric. I have used Anthony's Organic tumeric (5lb bag), Terrasoul Organic tumeric, and most recently the Micro Ingredients Organic tumeric.Upon opening the Micro Ingredients Organic tumeric (5lb bag) I noticed that the color of the tumeric appeared very "lifeless." I have never seen tumeric this color. It has a brown-ish gray color to it. It does not have a strong tumeric smell and the taste is off.I contacted Micro Ingredients and got a response within a couple of hours. They asked for Amazon order number, picture of the product, and lot number. Those were sent and their response was that over time tumeric oxidizes and changes color. No offer to replace the tumeric.Anthony's Organic tumeric never changed to this color....ever. Terrasoul never changed to this color....ever. If you want quality, vibrant, tasteful tumeric, go with the Terrasoul. If you want "lifeless" tumeric, go with Micro Ingredients. And, if you don't care what your tumeric looks or tastes like, buy whatever you want.

Great value! Smell is correct; taste is good; but the color leans more toward a brownish hue than the orange/yellow tone I'm accustomed to seeing, not sure how this impacts nutritional value.
