I had a lot of drones in the past, but this one is by far the most convenient, if you don’t want to spend your time learning how to fly a drone. Helped us a lot to focus on our vacation instead of working a drone. It’s just easy to get great shots. Batteries charge quickly and last quite a bit. I love the foldable design and the case that hold everything you need.

I use the HOVERAir X1 Pro Max mainly for cycling footage, and it’s been perfect for capturing my rides. It’s compact, easy to fly, and delivers great results. I did experience a flyaway, but customer service handled it quickly and professionally through my HOVERCare plan. They kept me updated, offered expedited shipping, and got me back in the air fast. Great product backed by great support.

I bought the Hoverair promax cycling combo and I would just like to say, love love love this drone. Very simple to use and even the manual mode on the phone was easy enough to operate! Just ordered the joysticks and extra beacon for longer range and better control. The cycling bag it comes with is perfect just for carrying everything and good quality. Bought it to follow me on my dirtbike, haven’t done yet but the follow mode works really well. Very excited for future use! The video I provided was taken with my phone.

I recently got this drone and I really enjoy it. I have a nine year-old son and we go out for a bike rides or he rides a scooter and he enjoys being chased around by the drone.

I really wanted to love this drone because the build quality and footage are excellent. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely frustrating. The main issue was battery life. On fully charged batteries, with no wind, I was only getting about 5 minutes of flight time, which is nowhere near practical or enjoyable. Because of that, I decided to return the drone. I also purchased the joystick directly from Hover, and since I was unhappy with the drone’s performance, I returned that as well. During the return process, customer service initially claimed they did not receive one of the joysticks, which was completely untrue. After more back-and-forth, they later admitted the joystick was “found” — yet still deducted $20 from my refund. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the drone itself is beautifully made. Unfortunately, the customer service and return experience were handled poorly, and the battery performance alone makes it hard to recommend.

I have bought every single accessory for the HoverAir X1 Pro Max, opting for the cycling package rather than the skiing one. Given that I live in an equatorial climate, I didn’t need the thermal battery, but humidity is something I do have to deal with. Let me just say—I am very, very pleased with this product. Why I Chose the HoverAir X1 Pro Max For the longest time, I debated buying a drone but never pulled the trigger. There were just too many considerations: ✔ Weight & Regulations: I wanted something below 249g to avoid registration and licensing hassles. ✔ Photo & Video Quality: I wasn’t sold on the original HoverAir X1, but the Pro Max version finally delivered on image and video quality. ✔ Functionality Over Complexity: I don’t need full-blown drone capabilities—I prioritize selfie photos, videos, and a reliable follow mode while cycling. The X1 Pro Max ticks every box. Real-World Experience The Follow Me mode—both front and rear tracking—works brilliantly while riding my bike. It’s lightweight, quick to deploy, and doesn’t require the learning curve of traditional drones. Customer Service: A+ The real icing on the cake? I lost my beacon charging cable and was prepared to buy a replacement. Instead, HoverAir’s customer support responded within a day, asked for a few details, and promptly sent me a replacement—free of charge. That’s next-level service! A Couple of Wishes No product is perfect, and if I had two requests, they’d be: 1. Better Color Profile: The current footage is a bit too saturated—a firmware tweak could easily improve this. 2. A Proper Remote & Goggles: It would be amazing if HoverAir introduced a physical remote and perhaps an FPV goggle setup in the future. One can dream! Final Verdict If you’re looking for a compact, lightweight, hassle-free drone that delivers excellent selfie and follow-me capabilities, the HoverAir X1 Pro Max is a game-changer. I am beyond satisfied with my purchase and can’t wait to see how HoverAir improves future versions.

Fantastic product and top quality. Had a small issue but the customer service was excellent and it was resolved very quickly. I am more than happy with this purchase. The drone itself is easy to set up a use, and the quality is fantastic. If you are doing simple drone work it’s perfect, especially the automatic follow features. I am using it for cycling, but have also used it for commercial work for short video clips to splice in.

Ich nutze die HoverAir X1 Pro Max seit einigen Wochen, vor allem für Urlaubsaufnahmen und kurze Selfie-Videos – und da spielt sie ihre Stärken voll aus! Die Drohne ist ultrakompakt, in wenigen Sekunden startklar und liefert beeindruckende Ergebnisse, ohne dass man viel einstellen muss. Ideal für spontane Aufnahmen an Sehenswürdigkeiten oder beim Spaziergang mit dem Hund. Besonders gefallen mir die automatischen Flugmodi, mit denen man coole Perspektiven ganz ohne Steuerung hinbekommt. Die Kameraqualität ist für die Größe echt klasse, und durch das geringe Gewicht kann man sie fast überall fliegen lassen, ohne gleich nervös beäugt zu werden. Aber: Der Cycling-Modus funktioniert bei mir leider nicht immer zuverlässig. Manchmal bricht der Flug ab oder startet erst gar nicht – schade, denn gerade der wäre für mich beim Fahrradfahren spannend gewesen. Auch die manuelle Steuerung über die App oder Fernbedienung ist (noch) nicht so intuitiv wie ich es von meiner DJI Mini 4 Pro gewohnt bin. Da fehlt mir manchmal die Präzision. Trotzdem: Für das, was sie sein will – eine smarte, kleine Selfie-Drohne für unterwegs – ist sie absolut empfehlenswert. Wer keine komplexen Flugmanöver plant, sondern einfache, schöne Aufnahmen möchte, wird hier viel Freude haben!

Ho rotto il salvadanaio e mi sono fatto un regalone !!! Si, diciamo che la spesa non è proprio economica ma ne è valsa la pena. Il drone è divertente e intuitivo,ci vuole un po' di pratica per usarlo con il joystick ma piano piano si può fare. I voli programmati sono già molto belli e coprono una vasta gamma di situazioni. Finalmente un drone che mi segue in bici ! Ho provato in varie situazioni boschive fino all'estremo e purtroppo una era troppo estremo.... Infatti il drone è andato in collisione con un alberello, ma il danno c'è stato. A questo punto è entrato in gioco il supporto tecnico della Hover. Praticamente siamo stati in contatto giornalmente prima e dopo aver inviato il drone in assistenza (grazie Jane). Dopo circa una ventina di giorni il drone è ritornato come nuovo, sostituito un motore perché la botta è stata forte,ma tutto il resto è rimasto inalterato. Grazie al fatto che avevo acquistato anche la Hover care per due anni, il costo è stato di per sé irrisorio e le spese di invio e ricezione gratuite. Quindi consiglio di acquistare anche la Hover care. Posso dire che il drone comunque è un ottimo prodotto, divertente,versatile e comodo da trasportare. Il supporto tecnico impeccabile,sempre disponibile con informazioni, aggiornamenti e consigli,sono rimasto molto soddisfatto di questo perché ho trascorso il periodo di attesa molto più serenamente senza stress per rincorrere interlocutori che nn rispondono.... Pertanto do 5 stelle perché il supporto tecnico è ottimo, perché il drone merita di essere acquistato, perché.....non posso più farne a meno ;-)

I may have been unlucky but so far the Beacon cannot consistently connect and it took a day of updates via a cable on my PC to get an Iphone to connect. Almost two weeks since purchasing the updating of the software is erratic with different commands from Time Out to Cable Broken despite using official cable and following all instructions. So the drone is now working (after camera errors) and is as advertised but has been very difficult to get connectivity with Beacon to function. The support line is very responsive and I have no problem with the support provided but so far without a solution to have the Beacon consistently working.
