It never hurts to have something like one of these USB sound cards on hand just in case your on-board sound dies or your operating system can't catch the right drivers for them, or if your using a PC without dedicated audio out ports.. I tested these units out on one of my Windows PC's & they seemed to work fine & the sound outputted appeared to be acceptable. The price was great as well!

Works exactly as intended had a broken audio port in the back of my PC my wife got me headphones with audio and mic plug ins bought this and now I can use my headset no problems

Good price and well made. The shell appears to be metal and feels substantial. These dongles made it easy to connect a microphone to a laptop which did not have a microphone input. It also allows connection of a headphone set. With newer, and some older laptops, there is no way to connect microphones or headphones without some sort of adapter. This item provides a quick and easy way to do that.

Technically, they semi-worked. Realistically and practically, these are pieces of utter junk. Don't even bother. Anything they recorded sounded heavily phased. I bought these to record from my synth to my laptop while my desktop was in the shop and they utterly failed. I troubleshooted to eliminate the possibility that it was my chosen output from my mixer, then skipped the mixer and went straight from the synth- and then tried on a different laptop- all with the same results of utterly useless recordings that sounded like the most horrific phasing had been applied. Tried both of them to eliminate that possibility as well. Utter junk

Works great! Just like socks on a rooster! But seriously, it does work, but you're limited in audio resolution to 16 bit 48000hz. At least that is all that shows to be available on my Win11 laptop and also my Win 11 desktop. But this is a real inexpensive way to get some "good enough" sound out of a previously mute computer. It worked for me when I helped a guy get sound back on his Hackentosh computer and I just had to buy one for my laptop because I got a REAL ugly electrical ground sound out of it and don't want to risk "bricking" that motherboard. and.... you get TWO of them!

We recently purchased a mini desktop computer for my wife. I like the very small form factor however there is limited space for different ports. The audio jack for the computer is in the front. When we plug in the audio chord to her sound bar it just doesn't look clean. I bought these to move audio and microphone to the rear. They are plug and play and the computer recognized them immediately. The only negative thing I can say about the output from these is that the volume is much less than the volume was coming out of the audio jack on the front of the computer. So much so at first I didn't think they were working but when I turned up the volume they sound fine and everything works fine.

Inexpensive, well built, both items in set work well. Surprisingly, works on my Android phone as well as Windows. No drivers or setup required. Only suggestion is to include a small instruction sheet; my friend who I purchased this for kept thinking it was a flash drive with music files, despite my describing the use of a headphone or speaker with it.
