Just About Perfect
I've had this portable A/C model for two summers now, and I can confirm that it's still performing very well without any issues. I live in a top floor apartment with a south-facing living room so needless to say, it gets pretty toasty in the summer especially the month of July when the heat and humidity is at its worst here in New England. The room is pretty big - about 19' x 16.5' with a high ceiling, and the wall unit in my living room wasn't making a difference despite being brand new and installed when the apartment was renovated. It's small and positioned way too high in the wall to make a difference. All it does is blow cool air along the ceiling and I wasn't getting any relief from it. The SereneLife sits on the floor, so the minute I turn it on I get refreshing cool air blowing where I need it. There are three fan settings so you can put it up higher to cool the place down quickly then adjust the fan to low to maintain it. It's amazing how much water the unit sucks out of the air especially when humidity is high - so be warned that even with the five-gallon bucket I use to drain the water that I'm emptying it often twice a day on really humid days. I love the "swing" mechanism that directs the air up and down. It's a heavy air conditioner - you will probably need someone to help you carry it up stairs - but once you have it installed, the wheels make it easy to move it across a floor and turn it where you want the air to flow. I love that it had a timer function - I have used it to have it automatically come on in afternoon when I am at work to keep my cat cool. The filters are also easy to remove and clean. The window kit was fairly easy to set up but the extra pieces they gave ended up being too long for my window and since I don't have a hand saw to cut one to the right size, I ended up inserting a piece of styrofoam and using duct tape to keep things secure and prevent air gaps. The only real downside of this product is the noise level, but it is an air conditioner, after all. As it's in my living room, sometimes I have to put the volume way up on the TV. I do have a smaller SereneLife unit in my bedroom that worked fine for 14 months before it started giving me an E4 error code and shutting off every half hour - my research tells me this is mostly likely a problem with the internal sensor that is saying the coils are getting too cold when they may be fine...fingers crossed this does not happen with this size SereneLife...hoping I get my money's worth and this will last for many more summers.

Cold AC for a small room
Great unit, and mirroring what most of the other reviews said, this unit works great and cools down a 200 sq/ft room very fast and keeps it comfortable. Not so much that great in a 500-ish sq/ft area with vaulted ceilings, but you can definitely feel the difference after 20 minutes of it running. There really aren't any negatives to say about this, but I will say a few things that I've noticed and wish it could be different on the AC unit. It's nothing that would prevent me from returning it, as it does what I need it to do. The fan on the high setting is a bit loud, especially when the unit is close to you but that's expected. Also, there's a fair amount of heat generated from the rear by the hose area - no hot air blowing, but if you put your hands back there you can definitely feel the heat radiating from the unit and the exhaust hose. I would recommend placing this closer to a wall or in the corner of a room. The other thing is I wish this unit had adjustable power, or at least was more energy efficient and drew a lower wattage to save on electricity (and your electric bill). I use this AC unit on a Ecoflow Delta Pro with a 3.6 kWh battery, and it'll run just shy of 3 hours on the Delta Pro, or 4.5 hours with a 400W solar panel connected at the same time. The AC unit consistently pulls 1000 watts of electricity in cooling mode, and it's the same 1000 watts in either low or high mode, so we just leave it on high to cool the room faster. I've seen some 14,000 BTU window units only draw 500-600 watts or electricity, so it would've been nice is this unit was more energy efficient. I wish it didn't draw as much power since we run this unit on a solar generator, as it's much cheaper for me to charge the generator at night than it is to plug in the AC unit into the house wall outlet during the day. Still, it's perfect on those summer afternoons when it gets hot in the house. The last thing I would mention is the included window kit. It's nice that the AC unit comes with an exhaust host and window kit to vent out the heat, but the window kit is limited in the adjustability. There's only a few windows in my house where this included window kit will actually fit, otherwise it's either too short or too long. I bought the Gulrear Portable Air Conditioner Sliding Door Vent Kit ($29 on Amazon) that has 4 sections and doesn't taper the exhaust vent, so I can either put this on our 80" tall patio door or on a much shorter window in my son's room. I wouldn't say the included window kit is worthless, as it still works and does its job. The hose will easily pop off the panel if you're moving the unit around and the hose moves a little bit, but it'll stay in place when you need it to. Overall, this is a great unit for the price.

Cools fairly large rooms, efficient, easy set up, some flaws
Nice portable A/C unit. Definitely has advantages over a window-AC unit primarily because these portables won't damage the window frame or windowsill. Has castor wheels so very easy to move around. There's only a couple of negatives about the unit... The window mount doesn't lock very well into the window frame. A locking mechanism that applies some pressure inside the window frame would've solved this issue. I have a fairly standard sized window and had to use a circular saw on the adjustable piece because it would've been too wide for my window otherwise. The other minor gripe is the thermostat...it often reads the outdoor temperature rather than the indoor temp when it's not running. It may be cool outside but if the room is warm, the thermostat may not pick up on that fact until it runs for awhile. Then it seems to kick on and off and adjust itself accordingly after 10-20 minutes. The company probably realized this when they designed/tested the unit. It's just odd that the temperature probe wasn't mounted somewhere that would've given a more accurate indoor temp reading. Minor issue overall. The unit has a powerful fan and does cool off a large room fairly quickly. I have it running in a room that is about 500 sq. ft., on the second floor of my house, and it cools the room within minutes. It's somewhat noisy but not enough to keep most up at night. It's white noise and most might find it beneficial rather than a nuisance. Allergy sufferers should benefit from these as they also filter the air. Great A/C, the portability is its main advantage over a window A/C unit. My home has central A/C but there's no need to use the extra energy to cool the entire house overnight when the wife and I are only in one room of the house. Helps cut down on the central A/C use.

A must have in Arizona.
The home I live in has an evaporative cooler affectionately called a “swamp cooler” and during monsoon season it makes the house MISERABLE. I finally bought this air conditioner and it’s phenomenal! It cools not only the room it’s in but also makes the house overall more comfortable. It is easy to install into my window which slides to the side instead of up, which most other coolers available seem to be made for. It’s easy to store and small enough to not be in the way when it’s being used. It can be a little loud, but it’s easy to tune out. I absolutely recommend it. I am planning on buying a second one to make the rest of the house just as cool.

Poor quality product, shady customer service
UPDATED REVIEW: The replacement AC unit that they sent also broke down in after about 6months of use, meaning this line of product is just bad. Also, the compressor works but there's no cold air, which would mean the refrigerant gas leaked. That is a potential HEALTH HAZARD that me and my family members were exposed to. When reached out to the company noting the issue, they just ignored to help and straight up told me this is not their problem anymore since my product was out of warranty now (even though the replacement unit was 6 months old only). Amazon however refunded the full amount as soon as they heard the issue. I would advise anyone considering this AC or anything from this shady company to think twice or look elsewhere. My LG portable AC that's many years old is still going strong. Seems like most of the reviews for this company (Serenelife) is fake or paid. Save yourself from HEALTH HAZARD and just buy something else!! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought the SereneLife SLPAC10 in the summer of 2022. It was working fine, I had some minor issues with the exhaust which was a bit leaky. When I reached out to customer support, they were humble enough to immediately ship a new exhaust kit. I live in Oregon and we do not get too many super hot summer days, so I did not have the use the AC that often. Fast forward to this year, when I was getting ready for the summer, I noticed that the AC was not blowing any cold air. No issues with the compressor, everything working, just no cold air. I immediately contacted customer support for help. After describing my problem and the troubleshooting steps I have taken, the customer service rep figured out that the AC unit may have died. They were nice enough to immediately issue a replacement unit. I got the unit in a matter of days. The replacement unit is quieter and seems to work better (as in blowing colder air) compared to the unit that I had. This leads me to believe that the specific unit that I received previously may have been faulty. It would have been nice if customer care would arrange for a pickup of the old unit as now I am stuck with that. But overall, I would say I am very happy with the customer service and I am glad that the money that I spent on the AC was not a waste.

A very good, well-made, portable mini, AC unit but insufficient documentation
This unit seems to be well-made and it seems to work very efficiently. I have only had it several days, but so far everything is fine. There were a few small disappointments however: the instruction manual is pathetic and has zero drawings or illustrations explaining where to find the filter, where to open the unit, where the pan is located, etc. The company is making a big mistake by not providing a top-notch instructions to go along with what appears to be a top notch portable AC unit! I was also a little disappointed because the heat exhaust tube came completely loose of the housing that you fasten onto the back of the AC. However I was able to get it back together and everything is fine. A plus for this unit is the fact that the panel which the heat exhaust fasteners onto is far wider than most panels. This one must come close to 48 inches, leaving only about 4 inches for me to make up for in my window. When researching which unit to buy, I noticed there was a question about this unit regarding the level of loudness. Some people said it was loud, while others said it was more like white noise. Unless a person is hard of hearing, I do not believe they could call this unit white noise. To me, it is definitely loud, and I have to turn turn my television volume up by about six points to hear while the unit is running. I have the unit in my bedroom, but I am becoming a custom to the loudness and can sleep anyway. All in all, I expect this unit to last a long time. I like the fact that there are three modes that I can use separately: the cooling mode, the dehumidifying mode, which they called dry, and fan mode. Even though I don’t leave the unit on all of the time, I am able to quickly cool the room and then dehydrate the air afterwards fir perfect comfort and saving money, although this is an energy efficient unit anyway. Additionally, I purchased a four year extended warranty although I’m hoping and think I might not have to use it. But it is good for peace of mind. I recommend this unit and hope that the manufacture will soon improve their owners manual documentation to include all of the information a customer might need regarding their unit.

Wonderful Cold Air
Arrived with all installation parts and instructions needed so it was easy to install just like many other reviews have noted. The remote makes it easy to control. I used some stick on Velcro to attach the remote to the unit so the remote is easier to find. The air coming into the room is nice and cold as long as the target temperature is lower than the room temperature. The target temperature is easily adjusted using the remote or the arrow buttons on the unit. It’s loud but the cold air is worth the noise. There are three fan settings and the low setting works great for my small 600 sf apartment. I really appreciate the timer function which allows one hour increments of power on/ cooling / dehumidification/ fan up to 24 hours then turns itself off. The exhaust tube gets very warm so it may be helpful to wrap it in some type of insulation because I have noticed heat radiating back into the room from the exhaust hose. The heat is noticeable from the exhaust tube however the room still gets cool even on low fan speed. I have not tried the dehumidifier feature but I attached the included dehumidifier hose to the unit and placed the end of this hose into an empty 3 quart almond milk container. It probably won’t produce almond milk but it is ready to catch the water whenever I turn on the dehumidifier feature.

Excellent A/C unit.
My wife and I live in a garden apartment and have been forced to buy and use window mounted A/C units for years. We have an 8,000 BTU unit in our living room and a 5,000 BTU in our bedroom and together they have kept the apartment comfortable for the past 14 years. The thing is, everything about this place has been put together from a mish mash of leftover crap probably purchased as salvaged junk and as a result none of the windows around here are the same size, they leak, we have 1950's pink tiles in the bathroom, kitchen cabinets were updated four or five years ago though and now lives in the 80's. You get the picture. So why stay here? Expenses basically. We didn't choose to live here but were placed here by Catholic Charities after I took a tumble down some concrete stairs which left me pretty beaten up. So we do as best we can with what we have. The box units are heavy and getting more and more difficult to hoist into the windows. We purchased this unit with the idea of putting it in the living room but the opening is too wide to accommodate the plastic part that vents the unit. We had to use this one in our bedroom and get the old, larger unit back into the living room at least one more season, unfortunately. It hasn't gotten HOT enough yet to really use this A/C but we have plugged it in and put it through it's paces. Everything seems to work fine, it gets plenty cool and we are very much pleased with it. As for the noise, sure it's noisier than central air but I think this is quieter than the box unit which rattle the windows each time the compressor kicks in. Maybe we can find another one of these which will fit in the bedroom and sell the box units for a few bucks. I'd recommend this unit at this point!
