Smithfield, Hometown Original Naturally Hickory Smoked Bacon, 12 oz

Our first time trying this brand bacon and have already ordered it again. This bacon fried quickly and cooked evenly and had a good slightly smoky flavor. It was a delicious breakfast meat and I also broke a few crispy slices into a recipe with great results. Recommended.

Despite being an Amazon Prime member for quite a while, I only recently started using Amazon Fresh. It has been kind of fun going out of my usual comfort zone to try some new products including bacon brands. Smithfield is a relatively well-known name in bacon, though I've not historically bought it. However, I was able to get this at a pretty good price and was craving some bacon.This is a 12-ounce package of ready to eat, naturally Hickory-Smoked Bacon. I actually cooked it up in my air fryer, also a fairly recent discovery, and absolutely enjoyed it. It cooked up easily and was tasty, not overly greasy, and had a really nice flavor to it. It's a little thin, though for the price point here I'd actually say it's more substantial than I'd expected. It cooked up nice and evenly. In terms of a value package of bacon, this is definitely one of the better ones I've tried. I'm not sure I'm ready to call it my preferred brand, but there's no question I would order it again.Overall, I'd say this is quality bacon at a good price. The economy is a bit rough right now and food prices are inconsistent. I've definitely noticed an increase in pork prices. I appreciate the companies that can keep prices fair and that's definitely true here. You can get quality bacon at a fair price. That works for me and I'll definitely try other Smithfield products.

Ok. So I read the reviews on this bacon and I wasn’t gonna buy it. But I did because of the price. And let me tell you there ISN’T anything wrong with this bacon ok. The first piece on top was a Little thin and after that the bacon was cool. Nice thick enough pieces with the right amount of salt and crunch. If you can cook then you won’t have any issues with this bacon. I’ve bought it a few times and each time was a delight.
