EARTHRISE Spirulina 500 Mg, 0.05 Pounds

I have been using Earthrise Spirulina off and on about ten years at the initial suggestion of an acquaintance who had success in alleviating allergies with it. I found that it took a few months to have full effect, and after that I experienced a complete abatement of my mild allergy to cats and the general congestion that I had been suffering from. I also found that when all around me were getting the flu or colds, I was practically bulletproof. I went for many years without health insurance, and never once needed to go to the doctor for antibiotics or infections of any kind. Lulled, perhaps, into a false sense of security (or preferring the extra cash in my pocket), I then drifted out of taking it, and found myself getting the occasional cold or flu.I am currently back on the stuff as of a few months ago, and once again am experiencing the comfort of normal respiration even when my husband has shared the results of interacting with his germ-factory nephews. He has even been convinced to start taking the Earthrise Spirulina powder (accidentally sent instead of the pills for my last order, kindly replaced by Amazon who told me to keep the powder) and seems to have a more robust immune response as a result. I can't stand the bitterness of the powder and am a champ at pill-taking, so although a serving of six seems like a lot, it's fine for me. Others may prefer using the powder and mixing it into a liquid, though it doesn't dissolve all that well.I also find that my skin is much clearer and less prone to hormonal acne when I am taking spirulina. I experienced a dramatic bout of adult acne six years ago, and whether or not it was coincidence, I was not taking spirulina at that time.A side note- years ago I accidentally discovered by dropping a tablet on the floor that one of my cats LOVES the stuff. She pounced on it and chomped it down like a freshly opened can of tuna and ever since comes rocketing over when she hears me refilling my weekly pill container. I give her one a week and, for what it's worth, she's a very healthy nine year old lady despite having spinal and hind limb deformities.UPDATE: I don't write a lot of reviews lately and was amused to see this one was at the top of the list for Earthrise Spirulina:) For what it's worth, all of the above is still true, five years later. My husband goes back and forth with taking . his greens, but my little 14 year old tortie cat and I continue taking it as previously described and continue to be healthier than your average bear. I'm glad this is still being made, still available on Amazon, and still reasonably priced.

Why didn’t I know about this before now?! Where have you been all my life! This product is amazing, for me it is like a miracle drug. All my life I suffered from issues with not enough fiber in my diet, like most Americans. Taking 6 or 7 tablets of spirulina a day all my problems with bowel movements have ended, there I said it. I have been hospitalized with diverticulosis, but since using spirulina I no longer have no need for artificial laxatives. With this there are no side effects, and it is simple to use, I just make sure I take them every day. Naturally I eat a balanced diet, but this is my miracle supplement!

Started taking spirulina several years ago. Tried several sources, all USDA organic. I was surprised that all of them come from India. I was not pleased with the taste/smell of any of them, and skeptical that India has any pollution-free zone. Would have tried the Hawaiian spirulina, but it is not certified organic and it has additives. Finally bumped into Earthrise from California. Not USDA organic, but probably better. The taste/smell is pleasant, and I certainly trust California more than India (or the USDA these days). The benefit of spirulina for me is keeping my mouth healthy (for many years I abused it with tobacco).

I unfortunately had to stop taking these as I realized they were causing bilateral muscle pain in both arms and right-sided neck spasms. It's a shame because my body used to be able to tolerate these, but now my body has changed.Update: I took a break from these and re-started taking them and experienced multiple daily headaches that didn't go away, pressure in the brain, anxiety, increased heart rate. Something in these has changed because I used to be able to tolerate them. I am done with them. I don't know if the manufacturers are being careless now with regard to the purity, but I simply cannot take them anymore.

I started these babies last year not to dampen my allergies. But I'm a health nut and I workout so me wanting to try something like this wasnt out if the ordinary for me but I was mixing the powder version of this exact spirulina but powder form. I was confused went a whole summer without getting itch watery eyes. No sneezes or sniffles and no runny nose no trapped mucus in my sinuses I literally dodged all of it even with all the pollen that was in the air nothing.I was confused why I wasnt getting any symptoms when everyone at my job was. I googled things I was doing differently this year "juicing" and sure enough both spirulina and wheatgrass powder or tablets help dampen allergy symptoms....now I buy this religiously after it runs out. And take it 5days a week. And honestly if I knew about this magic I could have saved my sick days for added vacation days.Great stuff love tablet version better.

LOVE these! My husband and I take six of these every morning. We like them. They do give a boost of energy, nothing huge, but you notice that you are a little more alert. I have fructose and lactose sensitivity and these don't bother me at all taking six at once. They smell like all the other reviews say, but DO NOT taste like they smell. They really don't taste like anything. They don't have to be taken with food either. We will be ordering again. The price was good here too.

I have taken this for years. As a traveling nurse my schedule and diet were very hectic and I knew I wasn't getting the nutrients I needed from vegetables. I can feel the difference in how I feel when I run out of spirulina. I like Earthrise because it's natural and I only need to take two a day.Having cancer my appetite is not always very good, but I feel better knowing I am getting the green benefits from spirulina.

If you suffer from interstitial cystitis you may want to give this a try. One of the only supplements I have found that helps. ...and I have wasted a lot on money over the years. I do believe it helps in controlling rouge mast cells.
