Gorgeous art
Still making it through the book which comes with a nice slipcase big enough to fit my other IS books and four sets of cards. The art and production quality of the book and paper are just wonderful. I can already tell that it would be nice if the book was a little longer because it is so interesting. The settings magic is very unique and variable giving a kind of Magician's by Lev style of variations as magic is warped and changed during the game forcing players to adapt to the changing rules that the magic would follow at that instant. The magic "streams" that flow fit that idea and give the book its name indirectly. I like that the book itself is a bit of a mythology within the setting which was a nice touch by the writers.

Cool game - Damaged Product
As seen in the picture above, the product was beat up pretty bad.On a side note: Due to the type of material the inside tray is made of, heavy objects that sit on the box, (in shipping), may rip the card tray holder - as it did with mine.

Not for every group.
First off, I did not purchase this game, I merely played it. If you're the type of group where the act of world-building alone is what your group finds most fun and interesting. This is the game for you. It's a sandbox with many rules that are cryptic and easily manipulated into a story you build with your friends. That being said, if you're the type of group that enjoys world-building but as only one part of the role play experience, but also enjoys a clear goalpost and achievable checkpoints along the way. This is not the game for your group. By the end of our 5th session with this game, we decided to put it away. It's interesting, but more in terms of like, a writing exercise than an actual game to play. There is a box and a rule structure to follow, but everything else is up to you. We didn't find the experience enjoyable. Maybe it's because we were looking for a collaborative experience with a goal post and anything that isn't vague or cryptic to get us closer to that goal. But when there is just nothing else to do, no other means to solve the mystery, and every action is frivolous, meaningless, and player-driven. At some point, you have to ask yourself, why you're playing this "game" at all.
