It is a nice book shelf .

I was pleasantly surprised by this item. When it arrived and it was made of material that I can only equate the super thick and solid foam core boards, I was skeptical at best and slightly disappointed in general. But I desperately needed a bookshelf that day and I had already scoured the internet for hours, so I gave it a chance. I would definitely take it outside and air it out for a couple hours, if you have the chance. However, I started building right away and within 2 hours the smell was gone. The pieces go together like a puzzle and there are screws to hold each flat layer into the standing layer below it and the books ends in place. The bottom swiveling part comes pre-assembled. Prefect! Loved that! It has been a few months and this shelf has been holding a couple hundred pounds of books like a champ. I love that the shelves are tall enough to accommodate full height books, like textbooks, a dictionary, spiral notebooks, etc. (Way more than just paperback novels). I am confident that, as long as I take good care of this shelf, it will continue to work well for me. Highly recommend.Oh, and it also comes with the screwdriver, gloves, and sandpaper. I only used the screwdriver. But, if you don't like touching touching the foam core material edges (between the board sides), the manufacturer has your back with the gloves. The foam core does have some texture to it, but you have to be up close to tell. I did not bother sanding it down. I might, if I put the shelf in my kids room, only because my kid is a sensory kid and would probably pick at any texture, potentially damaging the shelf. I would probably also get the shorter version for my kid. This shelf is nice and tall. Perfect for a corner, which is where we have it and love it.

This suprised me so much ! Was shipped perfectly not a ding, dent scratch nothing it was in great shape then they send you gloves to wear when you’re building it sandpaper in case you don’t like the rough sides of what holds the book screwdriver so you don’t have to go hunting around looking for your tools cause we can never find them here and then a doily for up on the top I can’t believe how tall this is and how sturdy this by far is the best thing I have ever gotten to put all my books on and I’m actually going to be buying another one ! Lovw that it can fit in a corner and it tirns so nice!! I highly recommed this!!

1. Ease of assembly - ha! The directions were not helpful and each level was a lot of trial and error. It can be assembled by one person with some time and patience. It comes with a mini screwdriver, so I was glad of that.2. Size- excellent and holds many books of all sizes.3. It is wobbly. So much so that I didn't use the 5th layer out of falling concerns. If you have littles take care.4. It spins which is wonderful.For the money, it was worth it.

I love this so much. It was perfect for displaying my 11 inch dolls. This was meant for books but I was able use it without the side blocks for a perfect display.It was very easy to assemble and very stable

This is not great material but it is for a 12 year old. We put the entire thing together and noticed that piece E (the very last piece) was not made correctly and does not fit well. :( I’m calling Amazon, hoping they can refund or just send a different E piece, but it could have been nice as she just wanted it as a book shelf.If you turn it a certain way, you can’t tell, but it’s a rotating bookshelf and very noticeable.

Absolutely and thoroughly disappointed that I spent $160 on this item considering it is basically glorified foam board.It’s not worth more than $50. It's assembled so I can’t return it. I assembled this as instructed, and, upon carrying it up a flight of stairs to put in my daughter’s bedroom, the entire thing came apart. There’s nothing for the screws to bite into because it’s made of foam.It’s extremely wobbly when loaded with books and you have to get the weight distribution just write for it to turn at all. I’m concerned this is going to fall over on my child.I can only imagine the abuse this thing is going to take as a bookshelf in a teenagers room and it's going to get damaged and be dented in no time flat.Updated a year later: it’s surprisingly still standing but it’s starting to take a beating. Many shelves creased from weight of books, fingernail indentations on shelf edges…
