Double Plus Good pump
This thing is about 5x as fast as the small 12volt pump we had to pump up river tubes. Has different fittings molded onto a tether so you can't lose them. I'm so impressed, I'll be buying another one or 2 for our church youth group, as well.

Great to have in the tent, for camping and many other uses
So, we used to use portable electric pumps, and while they work, this is just as fast. There are no batteries to die, no cords to plug into the car. If the air mattress goes soft, just pump it back up without even getting out of the tent. Obviously this works great for all sorts of balls, blow up pools, stoking fires, etc. So many uses here and with the dual action pumping it pumps in a hurry. It is life changing. The only downside for us is that it's pretty large, and takes some planning to fit in a packed car. But it is invaluable to us, so we make it work.I see other reviews on the pump coming apart, and I will say we don't use it a TON. Maybe 3-4 camping trips a year (and pumping up pools, etc.). But I've had it for 2 seasons now with no issues. Maybe if you were using it every day you would have issues - I don't know.

Great value
And works great on footballs, basketballs and toys.

Most bang for your buck!
This was the cheapest pump that I could find that met my criteria. I wanted a pump that inflates on both the up- and down-stroke, deflates, and has enough attachments to feel confident that it would work on my kayak. Just in case anyone with the same or a similar kayak is interested, I bought this for use on my Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame (tandem) kayak. It did everything I wanted and seems durable enough to last me awhile (I've only owned it for a week but I don't expect any issues). It is big enough to not be a huge pain when pumping (smaller pump = more crouching and more pumps for the same amount of air), while still being compact enough to (tightly) fit it in the same bag as my kayak so I never accidentally forget to bring it along. It only takes a few minutes of pumping to get the (very large) kayak fully inflated and I'm a pretty small (read: pretty weak) person. Overall, I'm very pleased and would definitely recommend!

Better than electric pump
Inflated a 53" River Run tube in about one minute. Easy and effective!

Works great, but then it breaks
This pump works well but it breaks. On a recent camping trip, two of us brought these pumps to blow up air mattresses and river floats. The pump works really well to quickly and easily inflate large things, but both pumps broke after a period of use. My guess is that the glue and construction used to hold the pump together comes apart on energetic upstrokes. As you pull the pump handle upward, it's natural to pull it to the limit where it stops before pushing back down on the handle; I suspect doing this repeatedly loosens the glue and then the top comes off. Once, I was able to very carefully line everything up inside and get the pump to work again, but it failed again shortly after. If you can baby this and prevent others from using and breaking it, then it's a great pump, otherwise you will be disappointed.

but it is easy to use so everyone in your group can help ...
The pump is a little larger than I was expecting but it works fantastically. I recently went on a river adventure with 9 other people, with 11 floats total (one for the cooler!). I was told that I wouldn't need to bring a pump because someone already had an electric one that plugged into their car, but I decided to bring it anyway. I was able to pump up 7 floats in the same time it took the electric pump to fill 2 and a half. They gave up on the electric pump halfway through the 3rd float and used my pump to finish the job! You'll get a bit of an arm workout filling this many floats, but it is easy to use so everyone in your group can help out.

This is a great pump if you have to inflate an air mattress ...
This is a great pump if you have to inflate an air mattress or toddler swimming pool or any number of inflatable toys. It move a good quantity of air on both the up and down stroke. It comes with 3 attached attachments that connect to the hose end. Also included is a pin used to inflate balls. This screws into one of the attached attachments. The hose can be moved to the other side of pump to pull air out of inflatable. Tried to inflate one of my toddlers balls. It would only partially. Enough to not be flat and bounce but not enough to be fully inflated. Use a regular bicycle pump for that. For what I use it for (inflatables) it works just fine. 4 stars since it won't fully inflate a ball.
