Baby Boo: Amazing Baby (Emma Dodd Series)

Did not buy this from Amazon but must review it to say it is fantastic.I have been reading it with my daughter since she was a few weeks old. She was always interested in the babys' facial expressions. She is now 16 months and will engage with the book herself as well as enjoying me reading it to her. She still laughs at the Boo! page, and you can see she knows what is coming. She likes this bit even better than the mirror at the end.She kisses the picture of the child on the "kiss, kiss I love you!" page.I also used it to help her to identify features on other children (eyes, nose, mouth, etc).I expect the varied expressions on the children's faces has also taught her things.

This is the first book I have bought from this range but will now be looking at others - the first time baby read it he spent 20 minutes flicking the pages back and forth, chattering and gurgling away and loving the mirror at the back!Just delightful seeing how much baby loves the pictures, when we read it together and say the 'kiss kiss' baby then we end up with a soggy page that has been slobbered with baby kisses - the same for the mirrored page :o)Even the text pages with patterns seem to interest and keep attention.I would highly recommend - and so would little one I'm sure!

For all three of my children, this is the first book that they showed interest in. Babies love to look at babies. My 14 month twins still squeal with delight when they see this book and they kiss the one that is making the kissy face. Its a sturdy board book but twins are tough on books so I'm now on my third one. It is for babies though and I feel that at 14 months my girls are moving on to other books now though they still like to look at this.

I purchased this book as it was highly recommended by a friend. When I first received it and looked through it I was slightly disappointed as it was quite simply black and white photographs of babies with different expressions (I'm not really sure what I was expecting!) However, I was pleasantly surprised when I showed it to my 3 month old son. He was completely mesmerised by the photographs and has now started to try and copy their expressions. He particularly loves the mirror on the last page, which never fails to generate a smile or little giggle.

Ok so some people returned this book because they can't see how it's fun or educates..... What a shameMy three children have each had their own copy- I have had to replace it for each baby because it has been so well read! They have loved copying the smiley baby and saying shhh to the sleepy baby.....Fantastic starter book - educational, fun and high quality!

A favourite in this house, my son knows when the BOO page is coming and starts giggling as he turns the pages, as soon as the BOO page comes around we all shout BOO and he laughs. A firm favourite that he is only now starting to grow out of, at 16 months,

I bought this for my firstborn who loved it from the day he got it, at just 3 months. It's a gorgeous book with adorable baby photos, clear contrasts and a mirror at the end. My son enjoyed this until he was about 2 years old, then passed it on to his baby brother who loves it just as much - it is one of his favourites too. One of the best baby boardbooks around, babies just love looking at the cute baby faces and all their expressions. It makes a lovely present!

I'm a huge fan of the Amazing baby "Black & White" book, having bought additional copies as gifts when I saw how much my own baby son enjoyed it. One of the main reasons it was such a hit was the lovely rhyme that accompanies the visuals.So I was really disappointed to see that this Amazing Baby book had no rhyme. The visuals were all quiet different too. It just didn't seem like it was from the same series as "Black & White" at all. I returned it.

Best baby book ever! It is very cleverly designed to get the attention of very young babies (faces and color/shape contrast). By reading it, you are at the same time playing a game with your LO. This one may become a classic! I wish it was available new again!

My baby didn't like any books I showed her. When this was recommended by our childcare class instructor I bought it. It was the ONLY book that my baby girl paid attention to. Fact: Babies like looking at [pictures] of other babies. She'd really respond to the faces. It was great. BEST INFANT BOOK EVER.I just wish they gave the size dimensions on the description. The book shown in class was twice as big as the one I bought. I was highly disappointed and was going to return to the seller but it's not the seller's fault the prod-description doesn't have measurements posted. I would have bought it for a higher price if it would've been bigger b/c I really wanted the larger version. Good luck to you!

This book should be republished because it's such a wonderful beginner book for babies! It seemed strange at first with just picture of babies and some short lines about what they might be thinking or doing, but both of my boys lit up when reading this book as babies. They reacted to every picture and enjoyed it over and over again!This book needs to come back as an Amazon item as it makes a fantastic baby gift!!

LOVE this book! My son was really into peek-a-boo for awhile so I bought him this book. It is short and cute. RIght away, he interacted with the story and knew what was coming next. Months later, he still takes this book out and plays BOO with the baby. Very cute book for your own young child or as a gift.UPDATE!! Two years later, I have another child and, at 9 months, she loved this book!! Now, at 11 months, she brings it over to me to read to her over and over again. This was a great purchase and will be given as baby gifts from now on :)

We first found this book at the library. My daughter was in a peek-a-boo phase, so I thought it would keep her attention. It did that! She loved the pictures and the mirror at the end made her so happy. Her older brother and I have the book memorized from reading it to her so often.Recently, I cleaned the book up and passed it on to my niece, who apparently demands to be read this book at all times as well.This is a simple book, but the basic patterns and pictures work really well for kids 2 and under.

Babies respond to the faces of other babies. This book is perfect to just hold in front of your baby, but it does have a short shelf life. Past 6-8 months and your kid is getting too old. But still, it is a must for little babies, and the price makes it not a waste really. My kids spent hours looking at it.

bUY THI in the 7-12 month range when they are just starting to really appreciate books. It is interactive...and I think they love the amazing baby books because there are pictures of babies and they can relate to them. Get them started with their love for books early and you give them the WORLD!!

My baby's absolute favorite book! I so wish it wasn't out of print. The bright colors on the text pages and simple black and white photos of baby faces thrill her.

We got this book for our daughter when she was ~9 months old and she instantly loved it. She is 13 months now and it by far her favorite book. When we get to the highly suspenseful "Baby, baby, where are you?" page she squeals with delight. She also loves the page with a mirror. I've bought some more books in this series and she likes them too, but this one is the best.

This is a great book with a mirror on the last page. When my daughter was about 9 months old she started kissing the babies on each page, including herself. We love the Amazing Baby series. She likes the books with pictures of real babies best.

I have read this book to all three of my children. I'm not sure if it is the pictures or the way I read it or a combination of both but this has been a favorite of all my kiddos. I would recommend it to everyone with babies. My children liked it from birth to about age three. I love this book so much that I usually give this a baby shower gift to everyone.

Cute book...my son likes it...maybe a bid short/few pages, but I guess that's what babies can handle. It was highly recommended by someone else.
