Arms only aluminum
First the three stars in no way refers to Trends Auto but something needs to be stated about the product. First tiedowns are first rate so nothing wrong with them. So far so good. Only the arms are aluminum. The brackets are not. Weight wise guessing you would save 20 lbs or so maybe a little more for the 4 arms. Maybe someone here could know more on weight. At $234 plus that is not a good deal to me at least. As far as rusting together I would not have that problem. For not much here on Amazon you get huge bottle of Never Seize. I always coat the inside of new receiver hitch with it, lug nuts, bolts ect. No nothing will loosen up if you use it. I also have not had drop down rust to receiver hitch. I have a aluminum spacer in a class 5 hitch. Aluminum will bind to steel so I still use it. Make sure it's coated good. Get some are your hands you will understand. Good luck getting it off. Rubber gloves needed. I have not had a lug nut loosen in 30 years if tightened to specs or anything else if using lock washers. I will do that here aluminum or not and bolts. But you could use NS for steel arms also. Coat inside of bracket and arms-bolts. Well just for me $250 is not worth it. You might think different so it is your call as it does save weight especially if you are close to maxed out as we always are.
