The plastic tines are so flimsy, you can't pick anything up.
Don't waste your effort clicking the button. The concept is great, but the execution is not. The performance and quality of this product is laughably horrible. The plastic tines are so flimsy that you can't pick up an significant amount of yard waste. When attempting to pick up even the smallest pile of leaves or pine needles, the plastic tines spread apart. The ends of the tines are also angled the opposite direction from what they need to be - they don't dig into the pile of whatever it is you are attempting to pick up. You're better off just just raking the yard waste into a tote and dumping it or using a manure fork to scoop it up.

Garden GrabX GGX001 Super Lightweight Leaf Grabber
Garden GrabX is a plus for no bending and use of very light weight pickup. Will pick up dry leaves, however if the leaves are wet, if you try to pick up too much at one time, or if used to pick up heavy material, there is potential for plastic rake to break. Product would have been much better if the rake had been made of metal instead of plastic.

Replacing my broken Garden Grabbers with GrabX
I just received it and snapped it together. I had previously used the Metal Garden/Leaf Grabber rake, which I love, but even though it was a great design and worked extremely well, lasted only one or 2 seasons due to poor construction. This Garden GrabX is very simple and looks made well enough to do the job, and it is lots cheaper than I used to pay for the Leaf Grabber, which is discontinued, but still available with no free shpping.Best thing about the GrabX unit is how simple it is and very light too. It is not "built like a tank", but looks like it should last OK. If it breaks prematurely in my opinion, I'll edit my review, but hopefully it won't break until my review is really old, lol.REVIEW EDIT 11/19/13:OK, I put it to work, but found although it is useful, it is REALLY Wimpy compared to the Leaf Grabber still available on Amazon. I'l let my wife use the GrabX, and I'm going to order another one or 2 leaf Grabbers even though they are more expensive. Now that I am experienced in where the Grabbers break and how to fix them, I may just modify/improve their design for strength before I use them. Deep into leaf clean up now, and the GrabX will take 5 times longer to load a pail with leaves and pine needles than this GrabX.Don't get me wrong, this GrabX works, and keeps you from having to bend down to lift the leaves, but............................??

Very poor quality materials
The handles are well made, but the rake parts are thin and flimsy. I tried to pick up a pile of leaves and the rakes broke where they attach to the handles. At closer look, it appears the material is very thin and will not hold up. I was able to pick up about half the pile of leaves before it broke. It is useless now so I would not buy this again until they make the rakes out of heavier material. Waste of money.

Disappointed - - Can Only Grab And Hold A Moderate Amount Of Material
Disappointed -- The rake portion is much smaller than I anticipated and made from very flexible material. So, only a moderate amount of material can be grabbed and held. If you planned on using this tool to move a large piles of leaves, especially if they are a little wet or compacted, you will be very frustrated. The handles, however, are very sturdy and well designed and will save you from having to bend when picking up small amounts of dry leaves.

broke the first time I used it
Love the idea, but cheap plastic. One of the blades broke near the metal pole on the very first scoop. It still sort of functioned, so I continued to use it, and by the time I was finished that day, over half of the prongs on the broken blade were missing and about 4 prongs on the good blade were missing. My back did feel much better for the short time this did work.

Lightweight and easy to use
Lightweight and easy to use. It really grabs hold of whatever you pick up. Sometimes its hard to release what you've picked up and have to take time to dislodge leaves, branches from the tines.

Clever design and easy to use- love it
I purchased this leaf grabber several months ago and since the leaves still fall in California that time of year had plenty of opportunity to try it out. It is very light weight, functions smoothly and is well designed so that no bending it necessary. Surprisingly it grabs a large quantity of leaves which are securely held while transferring it to the garden bins. I found it very convenient to use and an very valuable addition to my garden tools. How did we live without one of these gizmos.
