These cow pots are great for starting seeds and eventually planting in either raised beds or in the ground. The only thing you need to make sure of is to keep them damp at al times. Water from the bottom and spray water on the top when the seeds are sowed. The cow manure acts as a fertilizer when they go in the ground and again make sure they are quite damp when placed in the ground or raised bed.

So far, I love them. I saw the founder on Shark Tank and was REALLY impressed by what they were doing and some of their future products as well. As an avid and Master Gardener, I thought, this is brilliant!!! I have some and am starting seeds right now. Such a simple idea with a win-win model. LOVE these and the company's vision.I have placed another order for more in fact. I'm not buying peat pots (peat bogs take hundreds of years to form and are not a practical resource) or plastic ones anymore.

Order looked great. Unfortunately my granddaughter was helping me clean up and they were thrown away accidentally before I got a chance to use them. Looked large and sturdy from what I saw.

I absolutely love Cow Pots for their green concept and their utility. Simply planting the whole pot instead of transplanting is convenient and avoids root shock. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because they don't biodegrade quite as quickly as I'd like them to and I experienced root circling when starting fast-growing vegetables. Therefore, I don't feel they're perfect... but they're still dang good. If a slightly faster-decaying version were available for faster growing plants, or if the material were somewhat less difficult for the roots to penetrate before the pot is fully decayed, this product would be PERFECT. I'll continue to use them on long season peppers but may revert to rockwool or peat pots for faster vegetables.

Great pots, love the fact that I can place straight into the ground without have to transplant sensitive plants directly into the dirt.Will be ordering again in the near future

Works well and totally disintegrates once planted in the ground which is something I can't say for Peat pots...

Pros, can go right in the ground, and help feed the plant. Con's get musty, maybe moldy???? and fall apart quickly. I have used this type of pod in the past, and know you have to be very careful not to overwater. They are a great idea, but have to go into another pot long before planting time
