This cable is not shielded as the merchant claims
I cut and stripped a cable and examined the conductors. Inside the outer jacket are four cores colored red, green, blue and clear (copper), plus a strain relief cord. The cable simply contains no shield whatsoever. The merchant claims it's a, "Dual-shielding Design". Typically that means a braided copper shield surrounded by a foil shield. Since the merchant made false claims about the cable, I've given it a one-star rating. If you're not using the microphone function you shouldn't have any issues since the cable seems well designed, otherwise.

Beware of crosstalk!
I purchased this extension cable to lengthen my headset cable to my couch so I could game in comfort. On first use, one of my friends said they heard an echo of their own voice in chat even though all audio on my end was going through my headset. After some troubleshooting, including using my inline mute switch for my headset mic (which did not correct the echo), we were able to determine that the addition of this extension cable was the cause. The conductor carrying my PC audio to my headset drivers was interfering with the microphone conductor within the cable -- downstream from my mute switch -- and the resulting crosstalk was sending all far end audio straight back into my computer's mic input. Poor quality cable with no inner shielding. My hopes for a cheap solution to my too-short headset cable are dashed. If you need a cable to extend audio/mic signal, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Does the job!
I needed an extender to give me more length for my headphones. This does the job without any loss of audio quality or volume. Great! Beware however if you're using this with a mic. According to other reviews, apparently it causes "crosstalk" (other people you're talking to can hear themselves echoing back). So I recommend only use this cord if you're not planning on using a mic with it.

Extremely light-duty cable
This cable works as you'd expect, but this extension cable is VERY THIN. It is about as thin as the cable on the earbuds that came with my iPhones. I had hoped to use this between my docked laptop and a headset that I wear at a stand-up desk. I am afraid that if I move around too much and this cable gets snagged on something, it may not be able to take too many yanks without breaking. I would have preferred a sturdier-feeling cable.

Humming sound present
Humming sound, definitely the extension, will be returning

Unusable, must have poor shielding
Tested a recording with the cable, simply having a light on in the room created a loud electric hum. Tested other cables and the issue was not present. Walked around the home and the humming was present whenever passing any device that was currently on and running. Hum was significant enough that any audio when passing a light was unusable. Will be requesting a return.

Thinly made, but as long as you treat it carefully, there should be no problem.
No discernible loss of audio quality. Its not Monster Cable, made of very thin cable... just be careful. Justifiable for the price.

Not worth the money
This is a cheaply made wire. Its horrible for crosstalk and static. Would not recommend.
