I am excited after what I have seen so far

I received my ACMER P2 10 Watt Laser Engraver in perfect condition. I was pretty leery about being able to operate a laser engraver in the beginning but as it turned out there wasn't a thing to worry about. The only part of the assembly I had trouble with was putting the frame together, only because of the small size of the screws. My hands have difficulty at times with small items. Other than that the assembly was quick and easy. I found a tutorial video online for this same model and it guided me through every step. Every item needed was in the package, including safety glasses, everything to connect to my wi-fi, Air Assist Pump and cable, fully detailed user manual and a few pieces of test wood. After making a few samples I can see there is a learning curve involved for progression but I'm ready for it. I saw a lot of video tutorials online for engraving and cutting. The kitty and sunflower design on the wood round was my first project. Once the software was installed getting the connection was fast and easy. The Lightburn settings I chose were Jarvis - 500 DPI - 5k mm/m at max 100% power. After the Framing steps the laser worked steadily for 2 hours. The machine runs smoothly and quietly. I set the work table up near a sliding door and also turned a fan on. The smell was minimal and not much smoke accumulation. My next project was the wolf. I wanted to test the cutting capabilities. The wood used is one of the Basswood sheets that was supplied with the laser. I set both the speed and power to 100% The dark smudge at the bottom of the wolf picture happened when I first started the cut, then I realized I hadn't turned the Air Assist on. I stopped and started over again with the Air Assist on. The difference is clearly visible. The Air Assist is very helpful. I next wanted to try a more detailed cut and made the tiger on the same Basswood. The design cut fast and the edges barely need any sanding. The small eye and the space between the tail and rear leg cut perfectly. I know I have so much to learn and experience with laser engraving and cutting but I'm very excited about it. Everything about this machine says "Quality". I love it.

It’s definitely faster than my older engraver and allows for a much wider range of creative options. I’m absolutely thrilled with this upgrade. The P2 10W laser engraver is well worth the investment if you’re serious about engraving or want to move beyond smaller projects. It’s reliable, efficient, and delivers clean, professional results. Whether you're a hobbyist or looking to start selling your work, this machine will handle it with no problem.
